Friends of the Earth’s Membership and Development team works to fund our mission of fighting for a healthy and just world. We achieve success by helping supporters of all levels deepen their relationship with the mission and organization by providing a high-level of customer service and thoughtful communication. The Senior Manager/Director of Philanthropy drives our major donor fundraising strategy and solicitation.

The salary range for the full-time Senior Manager role is $92,000-$110,000, plus regular bonuses, and for the Director role the range is $120,000-$135,000. Offers are determined based on relevant skills and experience required for the position.
In this role you will work under the direction of the Vice President of Membership & Development to set goals, develop strategy and evaluate results. You will be the primary staff person responsible for soliciting gifts of five figures or more and you will maintain a portfolio of approximately 125 highly engaged donors. You will also supervise two staff, the Philanthropy and Donor Services Coordinator—who will provide you with administrative support--and the Planned Giving Officer. The role also offers the opportunity to collaborate with the major gifts consulting firm Veritus to optimize the major gift program.
