Project Canary is a SaaS-based data analytics company focused on environmental performance or the E in ESG for energy and additional business sectors. The Solutions Architect will be a part of the Business Intelligence team reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for serving as the technical representative for Project Canary working to optimize and integrate our products within our customer’s systems to drive business value. The ideal candidate will be able to understand Project Canary’s technical stack and to clearly communicate technical applications to our customers. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical liaison between product leads and Project Canary customers
  • Identify end-to-end technical solutions based on business needs that utilize a service-based architecture incorporating APIs and Events for decoupling Digital and Backend application services.
  • Ability to translate customer product needs to technical solutions with a clear roadmap for effective and expedient solutions
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses of product integration on a customer-by-customer basis to identify both customizable and scalable solutions
  • Capture future state technology vision in actionable, context specific roadmaps
  • Partner directly with technology subject matter experts and product leads to align architectural solutions with customer needs and technology stacks
  • Work directly with customers to design scalable and customized solutions to technical and product usability issues
  • Experience with one or more application development languages and/or system integration platforms
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including customers
  • Travel to customer sites may be required
  • Experience with Tableau and other BI tools such as Power BI and/or Looker
  • Experience working in SQL (Postgres preferred) to create custom queries, build analyses, design data visualization, etc
  • .NET, C# and AWS experience highly preferred

Requirements

  • BA/BS in related field
  • Covid-19 vaccination required
  • 5+ years' experience of development experience and capable of designing and implementing complex solutions.
  • Previous experience in a sales related business
  • Strong collaborations skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups including internal teams, external stakeholders, and customers.
  • Proven ability to provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Experience with open-source tools.
  • Previous development experience including frontend, backend, database, and integration technologies preferred.
