Climatize – Vice President of Project Finance

We are looking for an experienced project finance professional to assist with the successful structuring, negotiation and closing of capital for sustainable infrastructure assets. 

Using your strong project financing transaction expertise and comprehensive market knowledge you will play an integral role in all aspects of deal execution, coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners and be responsible for due diligence, modeling, documentation, closing and funding transactions to established timelines.

What you will be doing as the Vice President of Project Finance

• Work as the lead of the deal team on project level financings, supporting on all aspects of deal structuring, due diligence and execution, and bringing transactions to a successful closing
• Create debt structures that allow the company to finance individual assets & asset portfolios
• Consistently optimize standard project financing models and build new project financing models from scratch when needed
• Oversee the preparation of internal and external monthly financial statements, manage annual audits, and facilitate company budget preparation
• Ensuring that all communications regarding investments fall within the FINRA guidelines for Funding Portals
• Apply the principles and practices of active project management to review budgets, quarterly reports, technical evaluations, and invoices at a Program, sub-program, and project level
• Work with CEO and senior leaders to establish KPIs and ensure that P&L targets are appropriately set and achieved

Key qualifications of a successful candidate:

• At least 5+ years of direct relevant professional experience in renewable energy project finance.
• Knowledge of solar project financing structures, proforma development, alternative value stack approaches.
• Knowledge of solar industry project development needs, particularly for commercial & community solar.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency industry project development needs, particularly for LMI communities.
• Team player who recognizes learning opportunities and can wear multiple hats in a small organization with a fast-paced environment.
• Manages multiple responsibilities, works independently, takes initiative, sets priorities, and sees projects through to completion.
• Works well with others under deadline situations and responds to changes in priorities with flexibility.
• Ability to not only identify problems but also articulate and implement solutions.
• Critically evaluates processes and recommends improvements.
• Eagerness to work cross-functionally with other teams to achieve overall business objectives.
• Excited to dive into financial models.
• Takes ownership of work with a go-getter approach and an orientation to action.
• Desire to make an impact on the business by tackling challenging projects with a sense of urgency to knock down business challenges.
