ABOUT PLEDGE

Pledge is a climate infrastructure platform making it simple for businesses of every size to integrate carbon measurement, analytics & offsetting solutions into their customer experience. The initial focus is set on high-emitting use cases such as logistics and transportation. The team is on a mission to make businesses climate aware and help accelerate their transition to net zero as well as help fund frontier removal technologies.

Pledge was founded in 2021 by early employees of Revolut and the co-founder of Freetrade. Investors include climate and b2b technology investors Visionaries Club, Lowercarbon Capital, Zinal Growth (the investment vehicle of the founder & CEO of Checkout.com).

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Pledge’s first Partnerships hire your role will be to define, execute and develop the strategic alliance and partnership  ecosystems for the business. These ecosystems can range from specific, opportunistic business relationships to broad strategic alliances that drive value for the company.  Your core objective will be to drive incremental and indirect revenue through these partner and alliance networks. 

This is an exciting role for an experienced, hands-on, execution-oriented partner leader that will accelerate revenue and innovation for Pledge, as well work closely with other lines of business such as Sales and Marketing. 

The role is based in London, UK, and reports to the CEO.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The primary accountability is development of strategies and relationships for both referral and resell (sales & technology partnerships) to grow revenue and market presence for Pledge. 

  • Be the evangelist: Recruit and educate new partners to promote our unique business value, technology, and best practices, and support championing of the Pledge’s solutions on the partner side

  • Lead acquisition of net-new partners and current partners to continue to expand awareness & accessibility of Pledge, as well as driving & accelerating new and existing sales engagements alongside those partners

  • Plan and manage contracts, messaging, product integration, technology sourcing, and go to market plans with partners

  • Execute on related joint GTM strategies, along with our marketing team,  and programs that will grow awareness as well as increase revenue and market share

  • Work cross-functionally with product, marketing and sales throughout the Partner lifecycle from screening through on-going management and potential retirement of relationships

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • 5+ years in executive alliance or partnership roles within B2B SaaS 

  • History of successfully building, developing and leading strategic partnerships that drive meaningful revenue for the business

  • Strategic thinker who is able to develop compelling plans for new partner initiatives

  • Rich experience in recruiting and nurturing GSI and SI partnerships

  • Technically oriented with business acumen

  • Critical thinking and comfortable dealing with complexity and ambiguity
