About the Role:  

Your mission is to provide thought leadership and hands-on subject matter expertise in all business systems integration functions, including architecture design, standards, API management and process automation. You will be the API change agent driving a technology strategy working with engineering and business teams. You will learn and grow from both technical and domain knowledge working with the best in class business systems portfolio. To succeed in this role, you’ll be an experienced systems architect who understands how business needs can be addressed through flexible, integrated systems solutions

Impact You’ll Own:

  • Play a strategic role in the evaluation, selection and design of the Planet’s business systems and integration solutions
  • Design and manage system integration standards and patterns. Champion API-led design
  • Establish the overall enterprise architecture for MuleSoft
  • Define integration architecture based on business requirements and established standards in line with the defined future state enterprise landscape
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to Planet business systems developers and 3rd party vendors 
  • Advise developers on performance, scalability, reliability, monitoring and other operational aspected of integration solutions. Manage adherence to non functional requirements for all business system integrations
  • Contribute to business systems application portfolio optimization and gap analysis
  • Work with 3rd party vendors and engineering teams to perform periodic assessments and take proactive steps to reduce technical debt and leverage new system capabilities.

What You Bring:

  • Strong application design knowledge combined with data, integration, and security architecture skills
  • Proven track record in designing and building API’s to integrate business platforms like Salesforce, Marketo, AEM, ERP and HCM
  • Expert  in integration approaches and strategies, preferably with hands-on work involving web services (XML, SOAP, WSDL), messaging and REST protocols
  • Experience with API management platforms (Mulesoft, AWS API Gateway or Workato)
  • Strong process and process-improvement orientation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a specific focus on explaining technology topics clearly and to a variety of audiences with varying technical sophistication
  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, and Github
  • Experience working in an export control regulated environment and understanding of SOX and ISO27001 controls

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Advanced experience with identity management systems and identity federation protocols such as SAML2 and OIDC.
  • Development experience with Java, Python, Node Js or similar languages applied in systems integration.
  • Prior experience writing code using one of the following languages: Python, NodeJs, Java, APEX, SQL, JavaScript, Eclipse, Ruby.

Compensation (only applicable for Colorado applicants):

The base pay range targeted for this position in Colorado is: $138,600 - $211,500. This role is eligible for equity.

The actual offer, including the compensation package, is determined based on multiple factors, including experience, location, and other business considerations.

Planet is registered as an employer in many, but not all, states. If you are not able to work from a state where Planet is registered, you will not be eligible for employment.
