<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p>With our flagship project in Sierra Leone underway, as well as several other country projects in the early stages, Blue is seeking a dynamic professional to take on the exciting and critical role of Mangrove Restoration Lead to lead in the development and implementation of a restoration and rehabilitation plan for severely damaged mangrove regions. The Mangrove Restoration Lead will be responsible for implementing the following core functions:</p>

<li>Conduct rehabilitation assessments studies at multiple large-scale restoration sites</li>
<li>Develop and implement a detailed rehabilitation plan for the restoration efforts, with a focus on community-based ecological mangrove restoration techniques</li>

<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">With several projects underway in the West Africa, Blue is seeking a dynamic professional to take on the exciting and critical role of ESG Manager to lead in the development and implementation of essential ESG systems and processes. The ESG Manager will join a dynamic team focused on conservation and restoration of some of the most threatened ecosystems within West Africa. This role will be responsible for providing ESG systems implementation, monitoring, and reporting support to West Africa Blue and its portfolio projects across West Africa. The responsibilities will also include discussions and reporting to internal and some external stakeholders to ensure key ESG risks are appropriately managed and compliance is maintained during project design, implementation and operations.</p>
<p>The ESG Manager will be responsible for implementing the following core functions:</p>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Lead the implementation of a corporate level Environment and Social Management System in line with international standards including Climate, Community, and Biodiversity Standards (CCB) under Verra Verified Carbon Standard, IFC performance standard, WB/IFC EHS guidelines, and applicable laws.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Establish and maintain reporting channels for ESG risk management and mitigation, including safeguards against anti-corruption and anti-bribery.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Establish and maintain systems and processes to receive community complaints, concerns, and grievances related to projects. Maintain and manage efficient reporting and escalation channels for reporting and resolution, especially for safeguarding issues.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Support and monitor the development and implementation of site-specific plans with project-level/regional E&amp;S coordinators and supervisors, as applicable. Coordinate with regional E&amp;S coordinators and supervisors to ensure all aspects of ESMS are implemented across relevant centres.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Support in establishing internal ESG &amp; DI committee to address environmental, development impact and social/community and governance issues and coordinate and organize regular meetings. Monitor E&amp;S issues and report them to the ESG Committee (sub-committee to the Board), Board of Directors, the broader Company and external stakeholders as needed in collaboration with relevant personnel.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Communicate regularly with senior management team who have interests in E&amp;S aspects of the Company, coordinating and ensuring consistency in the delivery of monitoring.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Conduct regular ESG internal audits across the organization. Identify non-conformities and coordinate with regional E&amp;S supervisors/coordinators to ensure these are closed.</li>

ESG Manager

<p>The Southern Environmental Law Center is hiring a new Climate Campaign Associate in either our Birmingham, AL. or Charleston, SC. offices, although other SELC offices can be considered. SELC&rsquo;s strategic plan has three core pillars: Climate Change reversal, Environmental Justice and producing national solutions from our work protecting the South. This individual will join our Climate Initiative, reporting to our Climate Initiative Leader. At its core, the focus of this position will be defining and driving forward climate policy campaigns and advancing climate policies in target States. <div>The Chief of Staff role at CHOOOSE functions as a direct extension of the CEO and senior leadership team,&nbsp; supporting operations across a growing, multi-geography organization and executing on special projects.</div>

<h3>RESPONSIBILITIES</h3>
<ul>
<li>Act as a proxy for the CEO and senior leadership team, supporting or taking ownership of a diverse, changing set of activities.</li>
<li>Lead special projects end-to-end with meticulous planning and execution; includes internal projects relating to operational process improvement, reviewing net new business opportunities,&nbsp; and vendor evaluation and management, among other areas.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Support in defining, tracking and communicating organizational KPIs.</li>
<li>Enable a highly communicative and transparent culture; examples include supporting internal wikis and facilitating cross-team knowledge sharing.</li>

<h3>ABOUT YOU</h3>
<ul>
<li>Atypically versatile and high agency. Thinks and acts like a CEO. Able to quickly dive into many roles and do them well.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in high-impact, earlier-stage companies. Additionally, exceptional operational experience in consulting and/or finance is preferred.</li>
<li>High endurance and ability to work inconsistent hours to support an organization and customer base operating across multiple geographies.</li>
<li>No ego. Willingness to continuously evolve the role to best support the organization.</li>
<li>Pacesetter; extremely steady and diligent.</li>
<li>MBA preferred but not required.</li>
<li>Ability to travel frequently and at times, on short notice.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Superior verbal and written communication skills in English; Norwegian is a plus.</li>
<li>Ideally lives in Oslo, Norway. Open to candidates elsewhere in CET timezone.</li>
