<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p>With our flagship project in Sierra Leone underway, as well as several other country projects in the early stages, Blue is seeking a dynamic professional to take on the exciting and critical role of Mangrove Restoration Lead to lead in the development and implementation of a restoration and rehabilitation plan for severely damaged mangrove regions. The Mangrove Restoration Lead will be responsible for implementing the following core functions:</p>

<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">With several projects underway in the West Africa, Blue is seeking a dynamic professional to take on the exciting and critical role of ESG Manager to lead in the development and implementation of essential ESG systems and processes. The ESG Manager will join a dynamic team focused on conservation and restoration of some of the most threatened ecosystems within West Africa. This role will be responsible for providing ESG systems implementation, monitoring, and reporting support to West Africa Blue and its portfolio projects across West Africa. The responsibilities will also include discussions and reporting to internal and some external stakeholders to ensure key ESG risks are appropriately managed and compliance is maintained during project design, implementation and operations.</p>
<p>The ESG Manager will be responsible for implementing the following core functions:</p>

<li style="text-align: justify;">Lead the implementation of a corporate level Environment and Social Management System in line with international standards including Climate, Community, and Biodiversity Standards (CCB) under Verra Verified Carbon Standard, IFC performance standard, WB/IFC EHS guidelines, and applicable laws.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Establish and maintain reporting channels for ESG risk management and mitigation, including safeguards against anti-corruption and anti-bribery.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Establish and maintain systems and processes to receive community complaints, concerns, and grievances related to projects. Maintain and manage efficient reporting and escalation channels for reporting and resolution, especially for safeguarding issues.</li>

Coordinate with regional E&amp;S coordinators and supervisors to ensure all aspects of ESMS are implemented across relevant centres.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Support in establishing internal ESG &amp; DI committee to address environmental, development impact and social/community and governance issues and coordinate and organize regular meetings. Monitor E&amp;S issues and report them to the ESG Committee (sub-committee to the Board), Board of Directors, the broader Company and external stakeholders as needed in collaboration with relevant personnel.</li>

<p>K3C Earth is a start-up specialising in climate finance, carbon offsetting and nature-based projects.</p>
<p>We are looking for an Associate Expert in Carbon Finance to strengthen our team and develop our client portfolio. You will be responsible for :</p>
<p>- Analysing our clients' carbon finance needs and opportunities</p>
<p>- Designing and implementing solutions tailored to their objectives and sector of activity</p>
<p>- Identifying and mobilising investors and financial partners to support nature-based projects</p>
<p>- Monitor and assess the environmental and social impacts of the projects financed</p>
<p>- Contribute to strategic and regulatory monitoring of climate finance and carbon offsetting.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>To apply, you must :</p>
<p>- Have proven experience in nature-based financial assets, investors and firms offsetting their GHGs</p>
<p>- Be fluent in both spoken and written English and French</p>
<p>- Have a 5-year degree, preferably from a leading engineering school, and be qualified in the use of the carbon balance method</p>
<p>- Good knowledge of the issues and players involved in climate finance and carbon offsetting</p>
<p>- Excellent interpersonal, advisory and negotiation skills</p>
<p>- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, international environment</p>

<p><strong>About Epoch:</strong></p>
<p>Epoch is a venture-backed technology company that leverages state-of-the-art technologies to make agricultural and forestry supply chains transparent and sustainable. We leverage earth observation and web3 technology to monitor and report on environmental outcomes at the first mile of supply chains and leverage global payment networks to tie premium payments to improvement in measured and quantified sustainability metrics. Not even a year old, we are already post-revenue and have the backing from advisors and investors most specialized and strategic for the space in which we operate.</p>
<p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p>
<p>As a Lead Full Stack Engineer, you'll be a key player in the foundational stages, working with the founders (both engineers) in shaping Epoch&rsquo;s software product architecture and security infrastructure, with a particular focus on building the interface between back-end and front-end components. You&rsquo;ll play a key role in bringing a product to market and working closely with customers to refine the product-market fit. As a default, we will look to you to grow into a VP Engineering role, eventually building and leading a world-class engineering team, so even though you will start as an individual contributor, if your interests and skillsets align, you will transition into a key leadership role.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Development &amp; Management:</span></p>
<ul>
<li>Design and oversee the development infrastructure, ensuring efficient CI/CD processes.</li>
<li>Establish and maintain robust security infrastructure to safeguard our systems and data.</li>
<li>Spearhead the recruitment and development of a software engineering team.</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Technical Expertise:</span></p>
<ul>
<li>Deep knowledge of Cloud services, specifically Google Cloud, and how to best leverage them to automate cost-effective workflows using best CI/CD practices.</li>
<li>Development of cloud-hosted services such as APIs and web apps, and determine optimally whether to deploy them with serverless or server-based architectures</li>
<li>Containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) are a central part of your software engineering toolbox.</li>
<li>Proficiency with React JS/Native and its geospatial flavor to build high-performance web map UIs, while ensuring responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Node.js and Python for server-side applications is highly desirable</li>
<li>Mastery of both SQL and NoSQL databases</li>
<li>Long-standing experience in git version control, upholding very high standards for clean code and repository structure management. A track record in open-source development is highly desirable.</li>
<li>Prior experience with geospatial and earth observation data is highly desirable.</li>
<li>Knowledge of the web3 stack as a nice-to-have, and ability to juggle between web2 and web3 concepts depending on use-cases at hand.</li>
