We are not just looking for a culture fit, we are looking for a culture add.  We hope you will consider adding everything that makes you uniquely you to our growing team.<h3>Responsibilities ⚙️</h3>Technical Evaluation:<ul><li>Review site parameters, interconnection studies, and customer loads to determine optimal system sizing and configuration</li><li>Conduct detailed shading analysis, structural assessments, and electrical reviews to inform equipment selection and layout </li><li>Model proposed designs in PVsyst or equivalent to predict energy production and economic performance </li><li>Select appropriate technologies for project needs, including modules, inverters, racking, and system balance  </li></ul>Design Execution:<ul><li>Lead engineering team to produce permit/construction drawing sets meeting all applicable codes and client standards </li><li>Direct internal and external engineering resources to produce full construction drawing sets and documentation packages meeting relevant codes, client specifications, utility standards, and other requirements Manage relationships with third-party engineering firms </li><li>Specify electrical protection, monitoring, and control schemes to support grid stability and meet utility requirements</li><li>Develop equipment specs, bills of materials, and detailed scopes of work for procurement and construction</li><li>Coordinate technical reviews and secure permit approvals from authorities having jurisdiction</li><li>Review detailed civil, structural, and electrical engineering design packages and ensure compliance with Reactivate’s technical specifications</li><li>Stay apprised of technology advancements and trends across PV modules, inverters, racking, and energy storage OEMs</li><li>Continuous Improvement: Support the progress of team initiatives, including safety, material/process template improvement, standardization, etc.</li></ul>Construction Support:<ul><li>Provide technical supervision of contractors during system installations to ensure plan adherence</li><li>Work closely with EPC contractors through procurement, construction, and commissioning</li><li>Review shop drawings, inspect deliveries, and witness factory testing as needed</li><li>Review punch list inspection, testing, and commissioning of completed systems before approval</li><li>Compile as-built drawings, operations manuals, warranty docs, and other project closeout paperwork</li><li>Participate in project construction by responding to contractor RFIs, participating in monthly construction meetings, and reviewing site QA/QC documents</li><li>Conduct site visits to support site constructability evaluation and support construction progress</li></ul><h3>Requirements 🎓</h3><ul><li>5+ years of commercial solar energy system design experience, preferably working with the design of new facilities </li><li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering, PE is preferred</li><li>Knowledgeable of the NEC code </li><li>Expertise in solar plant equipment, including PV modules, racking systems, inverters, and electrical balance of plant</li><li>Proficiency with PVSyst, System Advisory Model (SAM) programs, AutoCAD, PVcase, ArcGIS, Helioscope, and Aurora Solar is a plus</li><li>Experience reviewing civil, structural, or electrical engineering design packages</li><li>Experience managing third-party due diligence studies and energy production estimates</li><li>Ability to multi-task and manage deliverables for multiple projects at a time</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Desire to work in a dynamic environment alongside people with varied interests and backgrounds</li><li>Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills </li><li>Proven and influential verbal and written communication skills  </li><li>Proficient with the Microsoft Windows Office suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint</li><li>Some travel required</li></ul>*Upon submission, we want to empower you to record your name via the Name Pronunciation tool so that our hiring team can ensure they are pronouncing your name correctly and that you feel properly acknowledged.
