Planet Cents is a pre-seed stage, for-profit, global e-Commerce marketplace startup. Our mission: reverse climate change with sustainable purchasing, and make this the norm. <a href="http://www.planetcents.us/">www.PlanetCents.us</a> We are ground floor, needing investors for our platform build.
This role can begin as full-time (preferred,) or part-time if necessary. It will begin as a Consultant under a 3-month contract to ensure a fit, and once that is established, become the CEO. It is virtual to start, eventually transitioning to a central headquarters.
The CEO will manage the overall operations of the company as well as develop and implement strategies that meet the needs of the customers, the stakeholders, and the employees. They will be responsible for making key decisions, alongside the Founder.&nbsp;
RESPONSIBILITIES:
All of the usual responsibilities for a CEO ~ especially those required in launching a ground floor startup.
Depending upon your competencies and skills, and that of our Founder, division, and sharing of responsibilities will be negotiated.

JOB STRUCTURE, TIMING &amp; OTHER DETAILS:
This role begins as an independent contract consultant under a 3-month contract to ensure it is a fit for both the candidate and the company.
The role begins immediately &ndash; preferably full-time, possibly part-time.
A drug test and background check are required.
COMPENSATION:
Initial compensation will be equity, (equity/salary once funded.) The equity will be decided based on several factors, which will not be known until mutual exploratory interviews yield the necessary information to make this decision.

Ultimately, you’re responsible for launching projects on time at high quality.</li><li>Unblock with clear decision making. You’re the unblocker, thinking one step ahead, knowing the details of projects from inception to experimentation. You guide scoping and tradeoff discussions to define MVP and key requirements. You provide timely input to teammates, driving effective decision-making. The team looks to you to provide a clear understanding of the path forward and why.</li><li>Measure and evaluate success. You work closely with data to structure experiments and analyze results to learn and measure progress. You use the results of past projects to inform future development and roadmap prioritization.</li><li>Work with the CEO and leadership to shape product strategy and roadmap. Collaborate closely with the CEO and Commons leadership to shape our product strategy and prioritize the roadmap to meet our business goals. You engage with relevant research, competitive analysis, and thought leaders to inform product opportunities. This role will be focused on conversion optimization for web, email, and SMS channels as well as lifecycle marketing (LCM) efforts, primarily via email and push. You’ll work closely with the Head of Marketing and the rest of the marketing team, and collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and design.<ul style=""><li>Conversion optimization. Optimize our core growth channels (web, email, SMS) for app downloads and engagement.</li><li>Experimentation and optimization. Using a data-driven and fail-fast growth methodology, develop hypotheses and experiments across our campaigns to drive constant learning and iterative optimization.</li></ul><ul style=""><li>Analysis and reporting. In partnership with our data team, develop robust analytics and insights to track campaign performance and goal attainment, and drive content, audience, and channel insights to improve our lifecycle strategy and execution.</li></ul><ul style=""><li>Cross-functional collaboration. Work closely with Product and Marketing to surface channel insights and make recommendations to improve our customer acquisition funnel.</li><li>Content and personalization. Write conversion-oriented marketing copy – including subject lines, push messages, and short form email body copy – and partner closely with Marketing and Design to leverage engaging editorial and visual content across triggered, batch &amp; blast, and personalized messages.</li><li>Lifecycle marketing. Own a multi-channel LCMstrategy, built on a deep foundation of user insights and personalization, to help the Commons community develop sustainability practices and reduce our collective carbon footprint.</li><li>Campaigns and journeys. Building on your LCM strategy, execute on rich multi-channel and multi-touch campaigns  across email, push, and in-app messages that activate, retain, and monetize our user base across key lifecycle stages.</li><li>Segmentation and platform data. You’ll be responsible for audience segmentation and targeting logic, and collaborate with our Engineering team to implement inbound data and platform requirements to support campaigns.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul style=""><li>Extensive general marketing experience in digital and/or lifecycle marketing with a consumer-facing brand. Hands-on experience owning a marketing channel and ability to prove mastery over at least one of the key growth channels: web, email, SMS.</li><li>Mobile- first B2C lifecycle marketer. You know how to build and execute multi-channel B2C lifecycle campaigns that engage mobile app users and drive business results, and aren’t shy around concepts like audience segmentation, journey canvases, and content personalization.</li><li>Deep platform knowledge. You have deep expertise in several key digital marketing platforms, including Google Analytics, Klaviyo/Mailchimp, Iterable, Zapier, Attentive/Twilio,  and are willing and quick to learn new technologies.</li><li>You write killer conversion copy. You can roll up your sleeves and write a popping subject line or push notification using language that’s fun, engaging, and audience specific. </li><li>Data is your BFF. Turning data into actionable insights is at the center of your process. </li><li>A track record building engaging consumer digital experiences is a plus, but not a requirement.</li></ul><ul style=""><li>Deeply curious and self-motivated. You are a self-starter who thrives owning projects start to finish and operating in a fast-paced startup environment.
