Our approach to pay is not based on favouring one skill over another or rewarding hierarchical power dynamics. Instead, we recognize that everyone possesses unique and exceptional skills, and we remove the process of valuing and comparing them. This allows us to focus on unleashing those skills in diverse ways based on the specific context. It gives us the freedom to determine, assign, and assess roles based on what is most suitable for each situation, rather than being constrained by predefined roles tied to compensation.
As a result, our pay is designed not to reward people for tasks done, but to cover living costs so that we are freed to create what we believe is needed in the world.&nbsp;
Our current base pay for everyone on the team is: Formula = (((Years experience + 23) (+ 8.82 for freelancers)) *1000) = gross pro rata pay in GBP.
Years experience includes all experience after school completion age (18) - inc work, education, unpaid work (care, volunteering, etc).
We recognise that no formula that tries to do this can fully account for the unique contexts of every person. Therefore we also have a rebalancing process in place to accommodate individual circumstances.
We have recently put in place a range of benefits support across the team, including coaching, learning funds, sabbatical and secondment support, learning funds, workspace funds and more. Agriculture Policy Intern

For five decades, the Environmental Law Institute (ELI) has played a pivotal role in shaping the fields of environmental law, policy, and management, both domestically and internationally.
ELI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Director to lead our Network for the Digital Economy and the Environment (nDEE) program, which aims to understand and address the environmental impact of the digital economy. The Program Director will be responsible for designing and executing projects that explore the intersections between technology, the digital economy, and the environment and for informing actionable policy to mitigate the direct and indirect negative impacts of digital technologies on the planet.

ABOUT NDEE
The Network on the Digital Economy and the Environment (nDEE) is a collaboration of the Environmental Law Institute, Yale University, and the University of California at Berkeley. The nDEE&rsquo;s mission is to catalyze and disseminate research on the energy and environmental impacts of the digital economy. These three institutions provide the initiative with a national presence and expertise in environmental assessment, management, policy, and law.

Greenpeace US is headquartered in Washington, DC, with an office in Oakland. POSITION SUMMARY The Development Operations Manager is a pivotal member of Greenpeace U.S., reports directly to the Director of Development Operations. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of the Development Department, encompassing Greenpeace Inc and Greenpeace Fund activities, particularly in Planned Giving. The Development Operations Manager’s primary responsibilities include developing fundraising strategies, managing budgets, and ensuring efficient operational procedures that enhance our income growth, optimize expenditure and improve the donor experience. The Development Operations Manager is a full time, benefits-eligible, exempt hybrid role based in Washington D.C, and reports to the Director of Development Operations. This position requires a minimum two (2) days per week of in-person work from our GPUS DC office location, with the potential and willingness toward more in-office days, as required during high volume times. This position requires occasional work outside of normal business hours across time-zones, as needed and infrequent travel, as needed.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership and Management<ul><li>Manages the Development Operations Specialist, to ensure continued growth and staff development. </li><li>Responsible for driving an internal culture that yields high performance from Development Operations staff and delivers on key objectives and metrics. </li><li>Responsible for the oversight of Development Operations and Planned Giving in-house gift processing and reconciliation procedures.</li><li>Responsible for managing and coordinating year-end gift processing plans with key fundraising staff and external caging facility.</li><li>Serve as Project Manager or project team member on cross departmental project teams and working groups as needed. </li></ul>Operations and Strategy In partnership with the Director of Development Operations:<ul><li>Responsible for helping to drive the department strategy and annual objectives, and developing and coordinating communication to the Development Team. </li><li>Responsible for creating fundraising narratives and reports for the Greenpeace Inc and Greenpeace Fund Boards of Directors, Greenpeace International, and the wider GPUS organization.</li><li>Drives the documentation and centralization of all Development Standard Operating Procedures.</li><li>Supports the creation, implementation, review and documentation of all budget and reforecast processes, which includes the ongoing monitoring of department-wide revenue and expenditure.</li><li>Identifies operating gaps and recommends process refinements to close the gaps or to create greater operational efficiency. </li></ul>Administration and Compliance<ul><li>Responsible for helping to drive the department strategy and annual objectives, and developing and coordinating communication to the Development Team.</li><li>Manages development compliance processes in coordination with the Development Operations Specialist providing support where needed, including state registrations and Combined Federal</li><li>Campaign applications for Greenpeace Inc and Greenpeace Fund and proper documentation of all compliance. </li><li>Responsible for the implementation of processes related to annual 990 filing and internal audit for Greenpeace Inc and Greenpeace Fund on behalf of the Development department. </li><li>Responsible for the oversight of all charity ratings for Greenpeace Inc and Greenpeace Fund, as executed by the Development Operations Specialist through bi-annual and annual accreditation applications.</li><li>In collaboration with the Director of Development Operations, develops communications to the wider organization to provide information on financial results and Development updates.</li></ul>Knowledge and Experience:<ul><li>Minimum 5 years experience in high-level administrative/leadership role inclusive of people management, preferably working in operations.   </li><li>Minimum 5 years of fundraising experience, with strong preference for fundraising operations experience</li><li>Experience working within fundraising CRM database such as Salesforce</li><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience</li><li>Project management experience, PMP or Scrum Master Certification preferred</li><li>High proficiency Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets including ability to create graphs, charts and Pivot Tables </li><li>Experienced in supporting and committed to (IDEA) Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access</li></ul>Skills:<ul><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Positive and persevering attitude and approach </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills</li><li>Creative problem-solver</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently, including leading other staff in meeting tight deadlines, and executing in a timely manner</li><li>Ability to work across departments and with a wide-range of staff at various levels of the organization.</li><li>Takes initiative to identify and solve problems, improve systems and develop new processes</li><li>Ability to analyze complex systems, identify gaps and implement solutions</li><li>High degree of organization and attention to detail</li><li>Word, Google Suite experience necessary and experience with database management systems such as Access preferred.</li></ul>Other:<ul><li>Experienced in supporting  and committed to (IDEA) Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access</li><li>Commitment to environmental issues and principles of non-violence central to Greenpeace’s mission</li></ul>If you want to save the world from climate change and believe in environmental justice, please submit an application on our <a href="https://www.greenpeace.org/usa/jobs/current-job-openings/">careers page</a>.
