Working from our Kelowna facility, you will be an integral part of a warehouse team that is responsible for the fulfillment of our highly anticipated Lomi in-home composter going directly to customers and business partners.In this position, you will be proficient in shipping, order packing, and warehousing practices while being a self-starter who thrives in an environment of continuous improvement and problem-solving. Teamwork and adaptability will be critical to your success. Working in a fast-paced environment and delivering on promises nurtures your soul. The hours of work will be 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday.Compensation &amp; Benefits:<ul><li>Starting wage: $21-23 per hour</li><li>Generous wellness and vacation days, as well as company 'gift days' for permanent employees</li><li>Comprehensive medical, dental, and paramedical insurance coverage</li><li>Paid volunteer hours for every team member. 8 hours per quarter</li><li>Taxable annual employer contribution for lifestyle spending</li><li>100% match of GRSP contributions each pay period up to a maximum of 4% of salary</li><li>Opportunities for growth and development with a $2500 allocation towards Learning &amp; Development for full-time employees.</li></ul>The Responsibilities:<ul><li>Pick, process, and ship orders accurately, quickly according to Pela’s standards</li><li>Assemble product packaging, prepare orders &amp; labels for shipping</li><li>Receive incoming supplies and supplies</li><li>Sort and organize stock in the warehouse</li><li>Organize and prep daily shipments with each carrier</li><li>Maintain warehouse including putting away stock, sweeping, organizing supplies, and garbage disposal</li><li>Assist in monthly inventory counts on finished goods and packing materials</li><li>Maintain a safe and clean workspace</li><li>Assist others as necessary</li><li>Ensure safe operation of all equipment, follow all protocols for warehouse safety</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Skills:<ul><li>Ability to learn procedures and add efficiency to processes</li><li>Works well independently, a self-starter</li><li>Experience driving forklifts and loading trailers</li><li>Knowledge of Google Suite and ShipStation preferred</li><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills</li><li>Thrives in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics</li><li>Committed to quality, safety, and communication</li><li>Strong attention to detail and pride of workmanship</li><li>A team player who wants to participate in green business practices and promote a sustainable future</li><li>Ability to frequently lift 40 lbs and stand for an 8-hour shift.</li></ul>Commitment to Diversity: Lomi is committed to cultivating and preserving a company culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
