In the transition from fossil fuels to a highly electrified system based on durable metals, the supply of critical minerals is an acute bottleneck.</span></p>

<p class="notion-text__content"><span class="notion-semantic-string">The supply gap is most acute for copper, the backbone of clean electricity across power grids, solar, wind, electric vehicles, and more. These will double copper demand within two decades, reaching 40 million tons /year by 2030 and 57 million tons /year by 2050.</span></p>

Local environmental impacts should be minimised, especially across waste, pollution and water stress.</span></p>

As a senior leader at the company, the Associate Director of Plant Transformation will be a key member of the R&amp;D leadership team.
