What We Want from You
As an early hire, this is an opportunity to be creative and have a big impact on the design of our Python-based marketplace application and data pipeline/ETL stack.

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">You should be able to build scalable data integrations and ETL pipelines - we will be ingesting data from dozens of suppliers and electricity meter data from hundreds of thousands of meters.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">You will be tasked with ingesting diverse datasets (such as weather data and modeled buildings dataset data) for the purposes of downstream modeling.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">You should think of how the customer will want to use our site and its APIs.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">You write readable code that makes it easy for other engineers to integrate into broader systems.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">You will need to interact with clients to work out specific data intake requirements (especially at first), while working towards building pipelines that can be eventually executed by non-engineers.</li>

Amply is an early-stage startup building game-changing software for heat pump pros. Residential buildings represent 20% of all U.S. carbon emissions, of which more than half are related to home heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Therefore, retrofitting 80 million home HVAC systems with modern heat pumps is the single biggest residential decarbonization opportunity we have. It is critical we get this once-in-a-generation shift infrastructure and building electrification transition right.
Getting it right begins with the right design. Replacing a conventional HVAC system with a heat pump is not a simple "box swap" &ndash; heat pumps are far more sensitive to sizing and equipment selection assumptions. There are also concerns about aesthetics, rebates, operational costs, and more. For heat pump professionals, often the salesperson, these details end up as hours of "homework" on nights and weekends for every project (or they just don&rsquo;t get done at all).
We founded Amply to make the lives of heat pump professionals easier, make homeowners happier, and deliver on the potential of heat pumps to reduce emissions. Senior Project Engineer

VEIR is developing a new generation of High Temperature Superconductor (HTS)-based transmission lines, enabling long distance, reliable, low loss, cost–effective power transfer in far smaller right–of–ways. VEIR’s innovations overcome the main barriers to transmission expansion, enabling the world to access the very lowest cost renewable power. </div><div> </div><div>VEIR is looking for an Electrical Engineer who will own the High Voltage testing, to qualify a first-of-a-kind superconducting transmission line systems, including overhead, underground, and indoor installations. The HV test engineer will lead the testing efforts, both in-house and/or at external testing facilities related to BIL testing, HI-Pot testing, partial discharge testing, impulse testing, and any other necessary high voltage qualification testing for new design infrastructure-critical superconducting transmission lines. This individual will be responsible for identifying high voltage qualification requirements, and developing, implementing, and executing a test plan to achieve qualification and certification in accordance with various applicable standards, such as: NESC, CIGRE, etc.</div> <h3>You Are:</h3><ul><li>Hands-on by nature. This not only saves them money, but enables society as a whole to meet the challenge of decarbonising transport and residential heating/cooling. We’re also supporting this vital shift by building the innovative technology behind unique, market-leading customer propositions like <a href="https://www.ovoenergy.com/electric-cars/vehicle-to-grid-charger">Vehicle to Grid</a> and <a href="https://www.ovoenergy.com/electric-cars/charge-anytime">Charge Anytime Energy Plan</a> with our energy retailer partners.What will I be doing?As OEM Partnerships and Alliances Lead you will lead and develop partnerships with major European auto OEMs. You will report to the Head of Automotive Partnerships EMEA and responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with EV/ automotive OEMs and other partners in the EV/ automotive ecosystem across EMEA. You will also help our internal business, PM and eng teams to align on the right approaches and partnership strategy for your partners. Kaluza operates in a complex industry, and to succeed, we cannot achieve our goals by working alone. We need to identify which partners to focus on and invest time in building relationships with the right stakeholders within them. We want to foster strong partnerships with all major OEMs, allowing us to jointly build a vibrant partner ecosystem that leverages the strengths of Kaluza’s Flexibility Platform.
