The Clean Fight is a not-for-profit dedicated to accelerating the equitable adoption of climate solutions in New York State and beyond. Given that many of the technologies we need to solve the climate crisis already exist, it&rsquo;s imperative that we ensure they are adopted quickly, equitably, and at scale. To enable this adoption, The Clean Fight designs and implements different models of adoption to identify and share the actionable strategies that can lead to the rapid deployment of decarbonization solutions, for all. Our programs focus on different parts of the clean energy economy, with practice areas that include buildings, energy storage, and food services.
The Clean Fight currently has three core programs. The&nbsp;<a class="button--2de5X button--14TuV tertiary--1JsWJ external" tabindex="0" href="https://www.thecleanfight.com/accelerator" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" data-role="button-link">accelerator program</a>&nbsp;is New York State&rsquo;s only accelerator focused on growth-stage companies, supporting innovative climate companies looking to move from initial deployment to broad market adoption. Our program is designed to help them quickly scale by collapsing the sales cycle through high-touch customer and capital partner matchmaking, technical assistance, and non-dilutive investments to help with initial deployments.&nbsp;
Our second program, the&nbsp;<a class="button--2de5X button--14TuV tertiary--1JsWJ external" tabindex="0" href="https://www.thecleanfight.com/etp" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" data-role="button-link">Empire Technology Prize</a>, is a $10M prize program focused on advancing the development and deployment of easy to adopt clean heating solutions for New York's tall buildings. By focusing the world&rsquo;s best innovators on this issue, combined with the involvement of New York's leading real estate players as demonstration partners, we hope not only to collapse the time to market for these crucial&nbsp; technologies, but to provide a blueprint for other markets in the US and globally to do the same.
Our latest program, the&nbsp;<a class="button--2de5X button--14TuV tertiary--1JsWJ external" tabindex="0" href="https://thecleanfight.com/programs/capital-challenge" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" data-role="button-link">Energy Storage Capital Challenge</a>, is designed to support innovative energy storage projects in need of capital to advance their deployment in New York State. This is a pivotal time for energy storage innovation in New York, with unprecedented Federal and State incentives, policy, and funding to support the deployment of projects. However, significant obstacles exist for innovators and developers to successfully deploy in New York&rsquo;s unique market. The Energy Storage Capital Challenge is focused on one key need: Aligning capital to accelerate innovative energy storage projects.
We are supported by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA), the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), and New Energy New York (NENY). We are a chapter of New Energy Nexus, an international not-for-profit that strives to achieve a 100% clean energy economy for 100% of the population in the shortest time possible by supporting diverse clean energy entrepreneurs with funds, accelerators, and networks, operating programs in the US, China, India, Southeast Asia, and East Africa.

<h3>About the Role</h3>
The Marketing Manager will work with the Director of Strategy &amp; Marketing, and with the Program Team, to help build The Clean Fight brand and market the flagship programs created and executed by the organization. The manager will be responsible for developing and executing effective marketing strategies to raise awareness about The Clean Fight, attract potential startups and partners, share proven strategies to accelerate adoption, and build The Clean Fight community within the climate ecosystem in New York and beyond.
The Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Strategy &amp; Marketing and may have direct reports down the road but will not have any initially. We compensate competitively and offer generous medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as a 401(k) contribution. The position is based in New York City. <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>

<li>Co-create and implement comprehensive marketing plans to promote The Clean Fight, its initiatives, and impact, including program launches, events, etc.</li>
<li>Create - and catalyze the team to create - compelling content for various marketing channels, including website, social media, email campaigns, blog posts, opinion pieces, and press releases</li>
<li>Manage social media accounts, monitor engagement, and optimize content to grow followers, drive website traffic, and increase engagement</li>
<li>Collaborate with the internal team to develop marketing collateral and materials that effectively communicate the value proposition of The Clean Fight</li>
<li>Track and analyze marketing metrics, such as website traffic, social media engagement, and event attendance, to assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for optimization</li>
<li>Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new tools in marketing and sustainability</li>

Fellow supervisors are in Boston, MA, Seattle, WA, and Ithaca, NY. Eligibility to work in the U.S. is required for the duration of the fellowship. Term  This is a 2-year fellowship with an anticipated start date between July 1 and September 1, 2024.  Overall Function  The Atkinson Postdoctoral Fellow will develop a model to evaluate the food and nutrition provisioning implications of prospective commercial fisheries targeting mesopelagic (midwater) marine fishes and zooplankton for use in aquaculture feeds (e.g., fishmeal), and conduct a trade-off analysis of climate mitigation and food production goals from such fisheries. Specifically, the fellow will calculate the fishmeal production potential from fisheries in 1-2 geographies (potentially the California Current, Humboldt Current, and/or the North Atlantic), and calculate the potential protein and micronutrient yield of aquaculture species portfolios reflecting different management goals (e.g., maximize protein, maximize specific nutrients, maximize profit). This analysis would be integrated with ongoing modeling of the carbon sequestration potential of mesopelagic species, to enable a trade-off analysis. The fellow will determine the optimum level of harvest of mesopelagic species in each geography that could support food security provisioning and minimize disruption of carbon sequestration. This model and trade-off analysis will be developed into one or more academic journal articles, as well as policy briefs and communication materials to share with national and international fishery management bodies, industry representatives, and climate leaders.  The fellow will work with Dr. Julia Mason, Social-ecological Systems Scientist and Dr. Mattias Cape, Marine Biogeochemical Scientist at EDF, and Dr. Eugene Won, a fish biologist and aquaculture specialist at Cornell University. The fellow will be part of a cohort of postdoctoral and research fellows at EDF, and will collaborate closely with research partners at Cornell University as well as other research institutions.
