You will report directly to the Vice President, Utility Scale Greenfield Development.What you’ll do:  <ul><li>Site origination, site control negotiation, project permitting, utility interconnection, and tax agreement negotiation.</li><li>Crafting a compelling value proposition that reflects avoided cost, load profile, applicable tariffs, and layered revenue streams.</li><li>Close coordination with junior business development staff to develop and implement effective lead campaign strategies.</li><li>Development of long-term relationships with site owners, energy users and other project stakeholders.</li><li>Effective communication with project stakeholders and community members to facilitate project permitting and other initiatives.</li><li>Active management of development schedule and budget to ensure timely and cost-effective projects.</li><li>Management of external consultants as needed in conjunction with project permitting activities.</li><li>Fostering support from state, county and local governments, community groups, and abutters.</li><li>Support of internal finance, engineering, and construction teams to facilitate successful project financing and construction.</li><li>Development of sales presentations, proposals, and other materials as needed to support project development efforts.</li><li>Occasional travel is required; some evening and weekend work required.</li></ul>What you’ll bring:<ul><li>Three or more years of energy industry experience in a business development role, with at least one year in Utility Scale development.</li><li>Integration of PV and energy storage systems preferred.</li><li>Commercial real estate prospecting and business model understanding.</li><li>Effective team leader and collaborator.</li><li>Commitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.</li><li>Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. As a key driver of success, the Head of Programs plays a crucial part in developing new initiatives that align with organizational goals, navigating funding sources and funder relationships, overseeing impact, monitoring and evaluation (M&amp;E) and leveraging the team’s expertise to ensure excellence in the implementation of new and existing programs.Additionally, the role includes the management and mentorship of two high-performing teams (Programs and Impact and M&amp;E), and fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
