You might just be the right candidate for us. </span></p></div><p>As a PhD Intern with AI Research, you drive the research projects that address the everyday challenges that happen on urban roads, ones that do not have standard solutions available.</p><p><strong>What you’ll be doing: </strong>On a day-to-day basis, you will:</p><ul><li>Conduct research to solve critical issues where a solution is uncertain and highly ambiguous</li><li>Propose and implement alternative solutions and challenge the status quo</li><li>Implement research ideas, conduct experiments and summarize results and findings</li><li>Publish findings and new methods to top-tier conferences and journals</li></ul><h2><strong>What you must have: </strong></h2><ul><li>Enrollment in a PhD program in an AV-related field (e.g. computer vision, machine learning, robotics, control) with multiple research publications in top conferences or journals</li><li>Strong expertise in machine learning / computer vision / graphics / robotics</li><li>Track record of driving ML research projects from start to completion, including conception, problem definition, experimentation, iteration, and publication</li><li>Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li></ul><p><strong>Bonus points! </strong></p><ul><li>Experience using deep-learning frameworks, e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc</li><li>Experience in deploying perception algorithms and models into real-world environments</li><li>Experience in the autonomous driving industry</li></ul><p><em>The hourly rate range for this position is <span>$48.75 - 68.00/hour</span>. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
