You will evaluate proposed legislation and assess the impact on MCE, recommend MCE positions on issues, and help communicate MCE&rsquo;s positions in the Legislature and other forums. You have a clear understanding of MCE&rsquo;s impact on energy-related matters and, at the Senior level, provide recommendations on farthing the impact. You may also be responsible for addressing MCE program or procurement implementation issues that may require regulatory or legislative remedies. As a Legislative Manager you&nbsp; may be assigned to assist in the work of other MCE teams.
You will contribute to joint legislative efforts through the California Community Choice Association (CalCCA). Additionally, the position is responsible for developing and managing relationships with stakeholders across California&rsquo;s energy policy landscape.

Liaises information gathered from Tribal outreach and engagementto Invenergy's leadership to advance mutually agreeable outcomes whilebuilding the company's reputation as a trusted partner with Tribal Nations.Develop and implement Invenergy's tribal engagement program. Design programguidance, best practices, training curricula and materials to build a highlevel of cultural awareness.Coordinate with Invenergy project teams to implement tribal engagement tasks.Plan, develop, manage, and implements internal coordination and strategysetting focused on building and nurturing relationships between Invenergy andTribal Nations and Indigenous Communities.Oversee the implementation of the tribal community engagement strategies bytransparent and consistent communications with Tribal Nations and IndigenousCommunities on renewable energy and transmission projects.Cultivate relationships and partnerships with tribal communities and tribalcommunity leaders to advance mutually beneficial outcomes including throughtribal equity agreements, community benefits agreements, and theadvancement of shared policy and advocacy objectives.Develop and maintain a complete and organized record tracking system todocument Invenergy's tribal and community engagement. Establish and maintainTribal contact information for tribal administration officials and THPOs.RequirementsMinimum 6+ years of direct experience managing responsibilities like thoselisted aboveExperience working with Tribal governance and communities.Experience in establishing and maintaining effective interper onalrelationships with Tribal leaders, staff, and community members, andother stakeholders such as NGOs.Comprehensive knowledge of energy and environmental policy impacting TribalNations and Indigenous Peoples.Demonstrated working knowledge of Indigenous cultural norms.Demonstrated experience in forming and maintaining productive collaborationsto develop consensus among diverse groups while addressing competing needs andinterests.Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of exemplary culturally appropriatecustomer service demonstrated through actively listening, acknowledging,and responding to every inquiry; taking ownership and resolving each concernor problem as appropriate; exhibiting professionalism and expertise in everyinteraction and engaging in professional development to meet expectations forservice excellence.Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive materials,activities, and initiatives.Experience in preparing and presenting information in a clear and concisemanner.Able to act and adapt to a fast-paced business environment with competingdeadlines, and quickly learn and implement internal processes.Able to adapt quickly, work well under pressure, both in large teams andone-on-one, and work independently with minimal supervision.Flexible to travel.Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visasponsorship now or in the future.Salary Range$142,500 - $172000Benefits
