Atmospheric concentration of methane is at an all-time high, with an unprecedented rate of increase. Existing federal policy is insufficient for reducing methane at the speed and scale needed. Now, we have an opportunity to take major action on methane by fully measuring emissions, securing strong state-level policies, and activating key market actors. Combined, these efforts can benefit our planet, consumers, and our national security.  RMI is seeking a Senior Associate to play a leading role in developing and executing a strategy to secure strong federal and state policies to reduce methane emissions from the U.S. oil and gas sector.  As a Senior Associate, you are an independent, creative problem solver that takes initiative to apply your quantitative, technical, and analytical abilities to translate research into action campaigns and technical assistance.
