The Nevada Clean Energy Fund (NCEF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting a thriving, affordable, and accessible clean energy economy by providing financial and technical resources to Nevadans. NCEF was created in 2017 to accelerate clean energy growth in Nevada, reduce energy costs, create jobs, and meaningfully address climate change. We are in the process of significantly expanding our team, operations, and impact in 2024 and seek a Community Engagement Manager to help us create a material and lasting impact in Nevada&rsquo;s clean energy economy.
Position Summary
As the Community Engagement Manager, you will join in NCEF&rsquo;s efforts to make clean energy accessible to all Nevadans. In this role, you will develop and implement NCEF&rsquo;s community engagement strategy and strategic communications initiatives, including managing external communications related to NCEF&rsquo;s programming, planning and implementing community events, and coordinating diverse stakeholder input. You will be primarily focused on solar energy programs. Promoting energy equity and justice is core to NCEF and will be central to your role.
Your Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Develop and implement NCEF&rsquo;s community engagement strategy and strategic communications initiatives.</li>
<li>Educate contractors, residents, and communities on NCEF&rsquo;s programs and resources via in-person presentations, tabling at community events, webinars, and meetings.</li>
<li>Plan and execute community events and associated programming.</li>
<li>Regularly attend events on weekends and evenings.</li>

<li>Conduct outreach to and build strategic relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community groups, trade associations, and labor groups, with a particular focus on low-income and historically underserved communities.</li>

<li>Manage and build out NCEF&rsquo;s contact database and CRM to maximize ability to segment and reach key audiences.</li>

<li>Manage multimedia advertising for NCEF&rsquo;s programs.</li>
<li>Ensure the development of culturally appropriate content and catered communication channels for diverse communities.</li>
<li>Manage diverse stakeholder input and feedback into NCEF&rsquo;s programs, including through formal input processes that follow best practices.</li>
<li>Support the development of Community Benefits Agreements and Project Labor Agreements associated with clean energy projects financed by NCEF.</li>
<li>Provide input into NCEF&rsquo;s equity and community engagement strategy.</li>

Your Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Passionate about clean energy, combating climate change, and having a positive impact on the lives of Nevadans.</li>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience</li>
<li>A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience</li>
<li>Experience presenting in public to diverse stakeholder groups and large audiences.</li>
<li>Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with community partners, social service providers, elected officials, and colleagues.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience leading successful external communications and/or community engagement strategies.</li>

The Marketing Manager will work with the Director of Strategy &amp; Marketing, and with the Program Team, to help build The Clean Fight brand and market the flagship programs created and executed by the organization. YOUR POSITION WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION:

The TIR Consulting Group is a mission-driven organization. The Projects Coordinator will work closely with Mr. Rifkin and his team to organize, develop, and implement Third Industrial Revolution sustainability plans to address climate change and usher in green economies for cities, regions, and countries. The Projects Coordinator will assist the Chief of Staff in keeping our projects on schedule and will also spearhead our office research initiatives. The Projects Coordinator will learn every aspect of running a boutique consulting firm while working on climate change and sustainability issues at the highest levels of government and industry. Other day-to-day duties include:

Project Management
&middot; Help organize office projects and ensure that our distributed global team stays connected and on-track
&middot; Appropriate follow-up with clients
&nbsp;
Research:
&bull; Conduct qualitative research on a variety of topics for regional and national development plans around the world and assist in the editing Mr. Rifkin&rsquo;s books
&middot; Brief our team on the latest research and market trends in diverse industries and prepare detailed background information
&bull; Maintain office database with all research materials
&middot; Edit reports and studies for local, regional and national governments
&nbsp;
Communication:
&middot; Serve as first point of contact and gatekeeper for all office inquiries
&middot; Oversee relations with press and media
&middot; Help lead marketing and media campaigns
&middot; Draft correspondence and other presentations on behalf of the President
&nbsp;
Administration:
&middot; Coordinate and schedule the President&rsquo;s speaking engagements, lectures, presentations, meetings and appointments, including travel and logistics
&middot; Manage the President&rsquo;s calendar and occasionally help out with personal appointments, as required
&middot; Responsible for general office administrative tasks, including ordering office supplies, vendor relations, managing invoices, and office organization
&nbsp;
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
Master&rsquo;s Degree related to Climate Change, Ecology, Environment, Economics, Energy, Urban Planning, Governance, and affiliated fields. 2-3 years relevant work experience preferred. Knowledge of public policy in the European Union, the United States, and Asian nations will be taken into account. Experience with the full MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Knowledge of foreign languages is a plus (please specify).

&middot; Excellent ability to organize electronic and hard-copy research, written materials, and historical records
&middot; Interdisciplinary qualitative research experience
&middot; Ability to manage projects and prioritize tasks while working with deadlines
&middot; Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment
&middot; Capacity to take initiative and solve problems and work collaboratively with other staff members and the President
&middot; Outstanding verbal communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of contacts and at multiple organizational levels

SALARY AND BENEFITS: This a full-time, in-person position. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications; Benefits include vacation, sick-leave, fully paid health, vision, and dental insurance, Metro Smart Benefits, and profit-sharing after 24 months of employment. We offer a small, friendly, and dynamic atmosphere and are one block from the Metro station in Bethesda, Maryland, located in the DMV region.
