The Principal role involves end-to-end responsibility across the board:

Achieving net zero by mid century will require a deployment of clean energy technologies at a speed and scale which has no historical precedent, to shift from consumable fossil fuels to a highly electrified system based on durable metals. 
</div>

The supply of critical minerals is one of the most acute bottlenecks for the energy transition. Although the world holds more than enough resources, current supply pipelines cannot meet the rapidly growing demand for batteries, renewables and the power grid. 
</div>

This gap is particularly acute for copper, lithium, graphite, and rare earth elements, with demand surges of 1.5-6x by 2030. Nickel and cobalt will also face tensions but evolutions in battery chemistries may help alleviate them.

Compounding these challenges are declining ore grades, long lead times for new mines (up to 20 years), and geographical concentration of mining and refining. Environmental impacts need to be minimised across energy, water, waste, pollution and CO2 emissions.

A Day In The Life: <ul style=""><li>Develop ethical and sustainable purchasing processes and procedures that align with Crusoe’s strategic goals, develop training materials, conduct training, and ensure compliance.</li><li>Work with internal stakeholders to solicit quotes from service providers/material suppliers and prepare bid summaries.</li><li>Identify new suppliers, coordinate onboarding, manage contractor compliance, handle credit applications and negotiate improved credit limits and terms.</li><li>Responsible for leading cross-functional teams and coordinating activities with internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Keep stakeholders informed of critical developments in our fast-paced environment.</li><li>Item/price catalog development and management within Crusoe’s Coupa (ERP) system.</li><li>Responsible for assisting with inventory management, fleet, logistics and other internal activities.</li><li>Resolve invoice discrepancies and supplier billing issues.</li><li>Perform supplier audits.</li><li>Act as an advisor to internal stakeholders on best purchasing practices.</li><li>Manage Open PO Report.</li><li>Manage the procurement request process (requisitions); confirming orders placed with vendors are accurate and in accordance with terms, shipping methods including proper use of Incoterms, and pricing/discount structures.</li><li>Direct the activities of our purchasing team, optimizing their talents and efficiency.</li><li>Develop and maintain an approved supplier list, ensuring quality and reliability.</li><li>Implement supplier evaluation programs to enhance alliances and monitor performance.</li><li>Expedite major equipment and component purchases</li><li>Mentoring, supporting, cross-training, or acting as a back-up for other team members as needed.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>You Will Thrive In This Role If You: <ul style=""><li>Buying, purchasing, logistics and leadership skills.</li><li>Computer proficiency required including strong background in MRP/ERP</li><li>Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact professionally with contacts, internal and external, at all levels.</li><li>Risk mitigation strategies.</li><li>Vendor compliance.</li><li>Supplier Relationship Management.</li><li>Identifying improvement opportunities within the Supply Chain team and participating in process improvement development and initiatives:<ul style=""><li>Inventory management and control;</li><li>Logistics, importing/exporting, and warehousing;</li><li>Procurement</li></ul></li><li>Managing complex, high risk/high spend purchase orders.</li><li>Administrative and Support Duties: The position includes administrative tasks, contract routing and executions, and support for other company activities.</li><li>Possess prior successful and effective experience in a similar role.</li><li>Exhibit flexibility, enjoy a rapid work environment, can handle multiple projects or tasks simultaneously, and are dependable, efficient, and self-driven.</li><li>Have 7-10+ years experience as a supply chain professional, with the majority of experience in managing purchasing activities, optimizing the use of an ERP system functionality and processes. </li><li>Have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or other degree relevant to the role, or the equivalent in education and job experience combined.</li><li>Are willing to travel up to 10%.</li><li>Although not mandatory, having professional certifications such as CPM, CPSM, CPSD, MCIPS, APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or CTSC is beneficial.</li><li>Must possess a valid driver's license and have a commendable driving history, as driving may be a requirement of the job.</li><li>Represent and uphold Crusoe's core values.</li></ul>Benefits:<ul style=""><li>Hybrid Work Schedule: The position will be based in Denver, Colorado (Cherry Creek), with a combination of in-office and remote work (relocation is not included for this position).</li><li>Industry competitive pay</li><li>Stock options in a fast growing, well-funded technology company</li><li>Health insurance package options that include HDHP and PPO, vision, and dental for you and your dependents</li><li>Paid Parental Leave</li><li>Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability</li><li>Teladoc</li><li>Pet-friendly offices</li><li>401(k)</li><li>PTO</li><li>Cell phone reimbursement</li><li>Tuition reimbursement</li><li>Subscription to the Calm app</li><li>Company paid commuter benefit; $100 per month</li></ul>Compensation Range:Compensation will be paid in the range of $80,000 - $100,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers.
