I am looking retain and organize a team of writers, organizers, marketers, influencers who can take what has been created by our talented group of architects, planners, engineers and designers and build a global audience. We want to establish the TPHA as the &ldquo;go -to&rdquo;resource for understandable climate information, actionable resilient housing construction and smaller more sustainable communities.&nbsp;
We have come to the unfortunate opinion that that although many talented and good intended people are working diligently to reverse current trends, the math and the politics of climate change at this point &nbsp;say it will be continue to rapidly progress for the next twenty five years drastically effecting everyday people&rsquo;s lives. Water in particular is an immediate crisis over the next 10 years. We want what we publish thru our web presence and multiple media outlets to be a call to action for the individual.&nbsp;
We feel that the message of how&nbsp; extreme weather events and particularly our water crisis has to be relevent and thus simplified to a basic public educational level (climate effects on me) and most importantly we have to give this audience actionable things they can afford&nbsp; do to protect themselves and their families today.
We have a broad array of topical areas within to create content: short stories for younger readers/viewers, &nbsp;articals, SM posts, scripts for short form videos (on our site, social media and YouTube channel, etc), events and more.
We are looking at an ongoing and agressive schedule of publication in the areas of &nbsp;fire, wind, water and land all of which have their own sub-channels in our new multi-media Resource Center under construction with our techinical and scientific partners. &nbsp;This is to provide entry level materials moving into deep dives should the reader/viewer chose to learn more.&nbsp;
We are very big on graphics, special effects, animation and just good writing to engage our audience. In a seven second attention span society our presentations have to be engaging "infotainment"
Most of us work remotely and the only constraining factor we deal with on a regular basis is our time zone, which is HST (Hawaiian Standard Time). We do not go on daylight standard time and as a point of reference we are six hours in summer and five in winter behind New York (EST). To this end we attempt to maintain a high degree of flexiblity and expect our team members be capapable of managing their time and project assignments, budgets and publication deadlines. &nbsp;
We want the right applicants who can share our passion for both climate and making housing affordable to the next generation of homebuyers.
Compensation is negotiable for full, part-time or contract project work.&nbsp;
