The Nevada Clean Energy Fund (NCEF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting a thriving, affordable, and accessible clean energy economy by providing financial and technical resources to Nevadans. NCEF was created in 2017 to accelerate clean energy growth in Nevada, reduce energy costs, create jobs, and meaningfully address climate change. We are in the process of significantly expanding our team, operations, and impact in 2024 and seek a Community Engagement Manager to help us create a material and lasting impact in Nevada&rsquo;s clean energy economy.
Position Summary
As the Community Engagement Manager, you will join in NCEF&rsquo;s efforts to make clean energy accessible to all Nevadans. In this role, you will develop and implement NCEF&rsquo;s community engagement strategy and strategic communications initiatives, including managing external communications related to NCEF&rsquo;s programming, planning and implementing community events, and coordinating diverse stakeholder input. You will be primarily focused on solar energy programs. Promoting energy equity and justice is core to NCEF and will be central to your role.
Your Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Develop and implement NCEF&rsquo;s community engagement strategy and strategic communications initiatives.</li>
<li>Educate contractors, residents, and communities on NCEF&rsquo;s programs and resources via in-person presentations, tabling at community events, webinars, and meetings.</li>
<li>Plan and execute community events and associated programming.</li>
<li>Regularly attend events on weekends and evenings.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Conduct outreach to and build strategic relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community groups, trade associations, and labor groups, with a particular focus on low-income and historically underserved communities.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Manage and build out NCEF&rsquo;s contact database and CRM to maximize ability to segment and reach key audiences.</li>
<li>Develop external content, including press releases, social media posts, newsletters, promotional videos, educational presentations, and an annual report.</li>
<li>Manage multimedia advertising for NCEF&rsquo;s programs.</li>
<li>Ensure the development of culturally appropriate content and catered communication channels for diverse communities.</li>
<li>Manage diverse stakeholder input and feedback into NCEF&rsquo;s programs, including through formal input processes that follow best practices.</li>
<li>Support the development of Community Benefits Agreements and Project Labor Agreements associated with clean energy projects financed by NCEF.</li>
<li>Provide input into NCEF&rsquo;s equity and community engagement strategy.</li>
</ul>
Your Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Passionate about clean energy, combating climate change, and having a positive impact on the lives of Nevadans.</li>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience</li>
<li>A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience</li>
<li>Experience presenting in public to diverse stakeholder groups and large audiences.</li>
<li>Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with community partners, social service providers, elected officials, and colleagues.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience leading successful external communications and/or community engagement strategies.</li>
<li>A valid Nevada driver&rsquo;s license or equivalent ability to attend community events.</li>
<li>High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).</li>
</ul>
Your Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Nevada communities.</li>
<li>Proficiency with Adobe Suite, Canva, and video editing software.</li>
<li>Graphic design experience.</li>

Your Compensation &amp; Benefits
Salary is commensurate with experience. The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000-$85,000. NCEF offers a competitive compensation package that includes medical and dental benefits, a retirement fund match, and paid time off.

Community Engagement Manager

Position Summary
As the COO, you will develop and oversee the operational strategy and operations of the organization. You will play a fundamental role in launching NCEF&rsquo;s programs, developing the team and reinforcing core values, and significantly expanding operational capacity. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who desires to play a lead role in the growth of an organization and create a material and lasting impact on Nevada&rsquo;s clean energy industry.
As a key member of NCEF&rsquo;s leadership team, you will work directly with the CEO to determine the operational strategy of this high-impact, mission-driven organization. You will be expected to lead by example and must demonstrate leadership and integrity in your day-to-day interactions. You will be charged with identifying, implementing, and managing operational processes and associated software solutions for investment operations and internal organizational functions. You will oversee federal grant compliance and financial accounting and audits. You will also advise on and support financial product and program development and implementation. To be successful in this role, you should have executive-level experience in business or organizational operations. You are a self-starter who is comfortable working with and cultivating a team located in multiple geographies across Nevada.
Your Responsibilities

<li>Design, plan, and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures.</li>
<li>Establish organizational policies, procedures, and metrics that promote company culture, values, and vision while ensuring operational efficiency and the adequacy of internal financial controls.</li>
<li>Implement and manage vendors, software tools, and operating procedures related to contractor and client relations; investment origination, due diligence, and servicing; impact measurement and evaluation; federal grant compliance; accounting; and IT.</li>
<li>Oversee federally-compliant procurement processes, budgeting, financial accounting, and audits.</li>
<li>Implement and oversee HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and professional development, with the goal of developing and retaining a talented and united staff.</li>
<li>Manage internal communications and team-building exercises.</li>
<li>Adopt impact reporting metrics and establish reporting tools and processes.</li>
<li>Analyze and interpret data and metrics, with an eye towards continuous improvement.</li>
<li>Build and maintain relationships with critical partners and vendors.</li>
<li>Manage a small team, including an accountant and a federal grant manager.</li>
<li>Assist the CEO with other management functions as necessary.</li>
</ul>
Your Minimum Qualifications

<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required. Advanced degree preferred, ideally in business administration or a relevant field.</li>
<li>12+ years of experience in business operations and/or finance with considerable senior management experience.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience managing strategic planning processes and implementing the operational infrastructure required to execute those plans.</li>
<li>Experience managing and implementing collaborative software solutions (e.g., CRM, accounting, and finance software).</li>
<li>Experience evaluating and adopting key performance indicators and impact metrics and conducting measurement, reporting, and data analytics.</li>
<li>Excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical, writing, and communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and remotely, while possessing a team and mission orientation.</li>
<li>High attention to detail and ability to prudently manage confidential and sensitive information.</li>
</ul>

<li>Familiarity with accounting and/or finance.</li>
