My name is Guillermo Fuentes I am a communications strategist with international studies on Climate change and Public policies.
My experience includes design and implementation of wetlands communication campaigns, public relations with international organizations, radio broadcast, audiovisual production, content design, community management, and print design. I gained expertise working at both national and international projects for the United Nations, Transparency International, the Colombian Red Cross, The Nature Conservancy among other institutions.
Within the activities of the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP21, I participated in the Climate change storytelling contest: #Voices2Paris, my story about sargassum and climate change in the Caribbean was selected as one of the top 20, and published by the United Nations and by many international press agencies.
I was fortunate to receive Honorable Mention in the massive communication category, during the “Nature Conservancy Awards 2016”, organized by the Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources in Mexico.
I am an analytical strategist with excellent communications skills. I have the ability to work within a multicultural team as well as a remote basis.
Well-traveled, I have had the opportunity to live and explore, North America, the Caribbean and South America. I enjoy my free time out in nature, writing short stories, and exploring film poetry.
