I grew up in Uzbekistan before coming to the US at the age of 11. I learned the language, went to school, and found a passion for art. Pursuing that passion, I applied to School of Visual Arts, majoring in Graphic Design. It was 2 years of struggling with Graphic Design and Motion Graphics, creating user experiences as opposed to eye-appealing graphics, before I came across 2 professors that introduced me to the wonders of Interaction Design.
After graduating with a dual Graphic/Interaction Design degree, I joined frog design. Spending 4 years with frog, I got the opportunity to work in New York, Sydney, Munich, New Delhi, and Milan, working with a range of clients from banking to IoT, and learning about different working cultures across the world.
After a couple of other stints here and there, I am now working as a Senior Product Designer at VMware Tanzu Labs, formerly known as Pivotal Labs, helping advocate for User Centred Design with our clients.
My passion lies with building a better world using the powers of design, business, and technology.
