I am a dedicated and hard worker and I pick up extremely fast. Given the chance, I believe that I will be a good fit for your company because of my well-versed background and the skills and techniques I picked up along the way. I have a 4-year background in working in a sterile environment in a laboratory setting. Having experience following USP <795>, <797>, <823>, proposed <825> regulations, I know how to follow compliance regulations, and keep up on the current laws and regulations. I know how to protect myself and keep myself safe as I went through extensive radiation training. Working at a Nuclear Bioscience facility I`ve learned how to manufacture components, that I then would combine with chemically engineered radioactive chemicals made through synthesis, to make the drugs FDG and NAF. I was unique as I was involved in both processes of production, manufacturing, and synthesis to create the end product that I later dispensed. Before safely dispensing I would perform quality control processes which included chromatography testing, ph, ½ life, and TBA testing. I worked closely with the cyclotron engineer on synthera box maintenance, line purging, and cyclotron maintenance, and start-up to ensure the best yield for dispensing. At the sterile compounding facility, I`ve learned the correct practice of aseptic techniques. As I was involved in the preparation and compounding of IV/IVF hydrations, TPN’s, antibiotics, and the chemotherapy drug ganciclovir. I was later responsible for training the new incoming pharmacists in the cleanroom setting. Additionally, I`ve learned proper medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology; blood collection procedures; specimen hands-on practice, and training skills and techniques to perform puncture methods, as a laboratory technician at ST. Peter`s Hospital.

In view of the urgent need for immediate climate action, I've decided to put an indefinite hold on my plans for graduate school and instead pursue a career in the energy sector in hopes of accelerating the world's reduction of carbon emissions based on the already well-understood nature of the problem. I am deeply passionate about solving climate change and am best motivated when I can reflect on the impact that my work is having on the crisis.
In addition to my passion for the problem, I am also well-prepared to take on the responsibilities of a data analyst at an energy company that shares my mission. I finished my education at Berkeley with rigorous analytical problem solving skills, data analysis experience, a broad view of the climate problem, and exceptional communication skills. Between my technical and interpersonal skills and my utter obsession with solving the climate crisis, I believe I am an ideal candidate to join a team of similarly motivated workers to achieve our common goal of a more sustainable future.

I am a mid-career professional undergoing a career change. My prior career, spanning 15 plus years, was in corporate financial management, business development (B2B), and balance sheet/investment management for the credit union (CU) movement. I successfully built a national brand serving low-income/small CU constituents; via community economic development programs with CDFI Treasury grant funding and comprehensive balance sheet strategies. Other competencies include relationship management, key stakeholder development with national regulatory bodies, associations, leagues, media and trade associations; innovation management to include development of two successful intra-preneurial, nationally adopted business units/programs and more. The $37 billion corporate CU succumbed to the financial crisis in 2012.
I completed an MS in Environmental Policy Management, Energy and Sustainability in June 2018. A 2018-2019 post graduate fellowship with the NY State Senate has kept me busy learning the policy component. I have developed a unique portfolio of successful environmental policy, energy, sustainability and climate resilience/adaptation projects. Most recently, I was the primary lead research and business development consultant for Munich Re Innovation US Incubator. I researched and put forth the evidence for their newly developing Climate Resilience domain; to include green infrastructure, permeable pavement, coastal/inland waterway managed realignment using manmade and natural defenses, natural carbon sinks, renewable and distributed energy systems, 3-D technology/sensors/realtime weather solutions and more. It is one comprehensive, global climate resilience/adaptation and sustainability plan. I am also helping to educate and support the City of Great Falls, MT understanding of resilience, climate adaptation, and overall sustainability planning. The city is just beginning the process of adopting a sustainability resolution to get going.
During the NY State Senate fellowship, I conducted extensive research and wrote many memos that support various environmental legislation: divestment of fossil fuels, single use styrofoam ban, ESCO's, and banning of cigarette butts to name a few. I also have a variety of masters research projects that are based on sustainable case studies. My Capstone was on the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) and how they are complying with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UNSDG) #7: ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all. I completed a sustainable transportation analysis on Missoula, Montana (MT), a deep dive on the California drought challenges and an analysis of sustainable MT food systems.
Since 2004, I have established a track record as an energetic, self starter, successful relationship and key stakeholder manager, helping credit union CEO's/CFO's to manage their balance sheets and other community economic development issues. I have produced hundreds of presentations/workshops/educational events virtually and in person, have an exceptional relationship management track-record, and have negotiated many MOU's and contracts for business development practices in the corporate financial management sphere. I am now ready to take that experience and work to help organizations, cities and government entities to accelerate sustainability transformation, as we engage in some of the most pressing issues of the 21st century. I embrace team work, am committed to consumer centricity, and am a solutions oriented, passionate business development, policy advocate and communications professional. I offer a consultative solutions approach to solving problems. I am open to relocating from Albany, NY. I am working back and forth from Great Falls, Montana currently where I also maintain a residence with my 88 year young mother. Remote work is very attractive, and consulting is also welcome. Thanks, Amy
