Dear Hiring Manager, I’m thrilled to be considered as an applicant for the position of GIS analyst at your company. I’ve had some experience working with and analyzing data, and would love nothing more than to carry this work on with working for your company. I’d specifically love to help analyze geographic data in order to further improve your project, while using my personal GIS and data skills.  At my most current role, I worked for the Anthropology department at my university (The Ohio State University). I worked analyzing drone data as a GIS researcher, and took this data to improve and expand the current database in FileMaker. This was an incredibly rewarding experience, as I was able to expand my experience working with visual data, statistical data, and data entry. I’ve also worked with some SQL in my coursework, and databases like PostGreSQL, and Microsoft Access. I’ve taken statistics and econometrics courses as well, where I’ve been able to work with programs like R, Microsoft Excel, and STATA. I would love to bring my experience from school and my work to your company, as I think I’d be a good fit for the role of GIS analyst with my combined GIS and Economics knowledge. I am a Senior at Miami University’s Farmer School of Business pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain management.
