I’m a Sydney based designer currently on the lookout for a new opportunity to broaden my experiences. In my creative processes I prefer to work concept based and by doing so drive a deeper purpose to my projects: always being inspired by art, culture and literature, while being firmly grounded in awareness of topical issues within our community. For me design is not just about the product we see but about the story we want to tell. My most recent position was head of design for Populo Batik in Jakarta, Indonesia (until 10.01.2020). As head of Design, I was responsible for the design team, as well as the in-house production team, which provides me with experience in leading a team and ensuring that its focus is aligned with the wider goals of the company. Being the leader while being the only women in the team, in a culture which is still predominated by men, taught me great sensibility, and the ability to establish and ensure mutual respect and working equally towards a common goal. Being in charge for the design and development of apparel and runway collections for men and women, I frequently had to meet tight deadlines across multiple projects, which gave me strong organisational and time management skills. While I enjoy working in a dynamic creative team, I also take advantage to focus in working alone.

I’m an audio-visual producer, graphic designer, journalist, photographer, editor, marketing consultant and researcher. Conservation as a means of ensuring intergenerational equity, community-building to celebrate diversity and collecting reasons for hope in the form of trailblazing ideas all count amongst my passions. My values encompass respect for our living planet, the transformative power of storytelling and realizing the potential of individuals. These I pursue as a volunteer wildlife rescuer nursing native animals back to health, as a multimedia creator and advocate for worthy causes, and finally as a thought leader in the field of mass individualism, generating scalable resilient grassroots impact networks.

Just completed my PhD specialising in New Climate Economy Solutions through talent development, Research & Innovation Commercialisation
Sydney
Most of my MBA thesis research into Entrepreneurial success was based in the US in 1994. My PhD research was been based in the Mainland (China) focus on the realisation of talent potential through setting up R&D Centres and talent management solutions. I have also worked on projects throughout the Asia Pacific region where human impact on Climate Change is severe.Â
My work now in Australia has been focused on sustainable eco-community development focusing on enabling self-managing leadership teams, renewable technologies, permaculture, carbon farming, and traditional healing "bush foods & bush medicines". I have a strong interest in native plants that can survive anticipated climate change conditions and thrive that are highly nutritious and offer bioactive medical potential for future commercialisation.Â
I have been a big fan and advocate of innovation as a means for changing the world positively, and the main stumbling block for talent is learning how to sell their ideas to finance driven establishment that care little for the environment or humanity. To resolve this impasse my PhD research developed solutions for engaging talent to pitch their biz case to key stakeholders successfully and work in networked teams towards operating as strategic global supply chains leveraging IOT & smart contracts.Â
I'm a member of numerous CRC (Cooperative Research Centres) to maintain my awareness of evolving technologies, bright talent and R&D grant funding to enable the commercialisation of New Climate Economy solutions into the future.Â
