Job Summary

May Mobility is entering an exciting phase of growth and our team is expanding quickly. We are looking for a Production Process Manager to design, build, and manage how we integrate our autonomous vehicle technology onto multiple vehicle platforms, leaning heavily on your previous experience with Lean/TPS. This is a unique opportunity to play a prominent role in setting strategy for scaling vehicle autonomy integration throughput, quality, and cost in a fast growing company. This role will report to the Director of AV Production and Reliability.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own the process for integrating May’s autonomous driving technology onto different platforms, including safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost
  • Implement and improve the May Production System based on Toyota Production System best practices
  • Lead and train the Production team on continuous improvement methods
  • Play an important part of developing 3 year production strategy based on company roadmap and objectives, contribute to building company-wide processes
  • Manage department P+L, resource planning, and production roadmap
  • Ensure supply of spare parts is available and ships out to support site operations
  • Ensure work instructions exist and are up to date for all work activities
  • Take ownership of the shop floor, including cleanliness and safety protocols

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, operations, business, or commensurate experience
  • 5+ years of experience in operations or production management 
  • 5+ years experience with Lean production systems
  • Ability to interpret engineering documents and project plans
  • Analytical ability with excellent problem solving and execution skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Experience interfacing with employees at multiple levels throughout the organization
  • Experience with 5S, Lean manufacturing methods
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License
  • Ability to undergo driving record check
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Engineering, Business, or Operations
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with assembling autonomous vehicle systems
