SUMMARY

Nexamp is seeking an experienced frontend developer interested in working on a variety of customer- and internal-facing applications using React, Typescript and modern frontend tooling. You’ll work with the backend and product teams to architect applications, develop interactive and dynamic applications with a broad range of features including presentation of time-series and geospatial data, utilities for streamlining business processes, control panels, dashboards and more. Day-to-day duties will include implementing new features, maintaining systems architecture, writing tests, improving developer tooling and workflows, and debugging and fixing issues. Candidates will be given an opportunity to demonstrate development skills during interviewing. While this is a position in a new and growing development team, you will be in a group with 45 years of software development and leadership experience.

Position is located in our Boston, MA office. Requires annual overnight travel of less than 5%.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement frontend application functionality
• Design and maintain frontend architecture
• Work with development and product groups to develop requirements and design interfaces
• Debug and correct defects
• Maintain Coding and development standards
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers

SKILLS

• Frontend development using Typescript, React, and modern frontend development toolchains
• Familiarity with web technologies and standards including HTTP, HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
• Debugging frontend issues
• Development workflows using git

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, hands-on, results-oriented, and a team player.

Key qualifications are as follows:

• 3-5 years of frontend development experience
• Excellent written and spoken English communications skills
• Experience developing complex frontend applications using React and Typescript, experience in other modern web languages and frameworks is helpful
