SUMMARY

The Settlement Associate will join the Energy Storage Asset Management Team to settle accounts for all ISO New England market participation and relevant third-party vendors. The position is responsible for managing multiple initiatives as Nexamp’s asset base grows, revenue streams diversify, and projects increasingly rely on ISO based revenues. External investors and auditors, as well as our accounting team will rely on this position for reporting past performance and forecasting future project revenues. This role will be based either in Boston or Lowell, Massachusetts and will report to the Storage Asset Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Energy Storage Asset Manager with financial reporting of all ISO-NE market revenues
  • Lead data reconciliation process with ISO and ensure accuracy and timeliness of market revenues
  • Ensure all third parties and all project companies are settled appropriately taking into account relevant costs of participation and market risks
  • Directly work with accounting and treasury to post financial assurance and letters of credit
  • Attend quarterly settlements forum and other ISO meetings to ensure a complete understanding of financial market changes within the ISO
  • Assist the Energy Storage Asset Manager in managing the monetization and trading of clean peak energy certificates and execution of underlying contracts

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 1 to 3 years accounting or revenue support operations at an ISO, utility, or energy company
  • Understanding of US power and ancillary service markets with a preference for ISO New England market knowledge
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel ability
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects and initiatives
