We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our cathode production research team. In this role, you will be an integral part of our LIB cathode materials scale-up development.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON?

  • Scale up LIB cathode materials from the lab to manufacturing.
  • Design and execute experimental studies, and synthesize and characterize cathode materials.
  • Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cathode production processes.
  • Collaborate with equipment suppliers from concept development through system design iteration, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
  • Develop operational procedures, safety protocols, and maintenance plans for equipment.
  • Provide regular technical progress reports.
  • Lead and collaborate with technicians to achieve project goals.

 

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE IS SOMEONE WITH

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemistry.
  • Master’s degree with 1 or more years of chemical processing-related industrial experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 2 or more years of related experience.
  • Research background in electrochemistry preferred.
  • Strong preference for candidates with direct industrial experience in cathode production.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting equipment and setups is highly preferred.
  • Comfortable with hands-on manufacturing tasks and collaborative laboratory work.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, with strong communication skills.
  • Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) would be a strong asset.

 

Physical Requirements

  • This is an on-site position in Bordentown, NJ.
  • Able to work in the lab environment and wear personal protective equipment including lab coat, safety goggles, gloves, and/or mask, and respirator as required
  • Able to lift & carry 25 pounds
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Has visual inspection capability to assess lab equipment
