Join Us as a Founder in Residence in Climate

At DSV, we are always on the lookout for entrepreneurial individuals with technical and commercial domain expertise with a keen interest in founding, and building a global scale, impact-driven, high-growth company from the ground up (full-time).

We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced industry, startup, and/or new science or engineering-based technology development professionals from anywhere in the world to work with us on tackling plastic waste through venture.

Opportunity Area: Tackling Plastic Waste

The production of virgin plastics has reached an estimated 8300 Mt, and as of 2015, around 6300 Mt of plastic waste had been generated. Of this waste, only 9% has been recycled, 12% incinerated, and a staggering 79% has accumulated in landfills or the natural environment. If current trends continue, approximately 12,000 Mt of plastic waste will be in landfills or the natural environment by 2050. This poses severe environmental risks, including significant emissions from plastic degradation to CO2 and methane, along with the release of microplastics, NOx, SOx, and other fine particulate matter.

Our Approach

We’re currently building an outcomes graph, working backwards from the desired high-level outcome to significantly reduce plastic waste accumulation and its environmental impact.
