Full Stack Software Engineer

Location: Hybrid in ATL preferred, open to remote in Central or Eastern timezones.

Solving our climate crisis requires bold action, and with more than $20M from top-tier investors, Cloverly is on a mission to make it happen.

We’ve made big strides already—our groundbreaking platform for climate action is trusted by Fortune 500 firms from Salesforce to American Express—but as an experienced team of founders, builders, and sustainability nerds, we know the journey is only getting started. That’s where you come in.

What you’ll be doing

As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Cloverly, you’ll use your technical expertise and business instincts to ship software that enables innovation in the carbon economy. We’re already connecting suppliers of carbon removals and offsets with the companies who want to take action now; you’ll double down on our existing strengths while building new products to help suppliers bring their goods to market and help companies ensure the quality of any carbon they buy.

In the course of this work you will:

  • Collaborate with teammates in engineering, product, design, and QA to bring innovative product features to market
  • Understand and continuously improve processes and practices throughout the development process
  • Maintain a high bar for quality and operational excellence while still moving quickly to deliver value

You’ll report directly to our VP of Engineering, and your experience and unique perspective will be a key input as we build and execute our roadmap.

What you’ll bring

You’re an experienced engineer with a track record of delivering great software. You don’t need to be an expert in every aspect of engineering, but you’re a quick learner who thrives in the broad responsibilities and the empowerment of a Series A startup.

Preferred Experience:

  • 3-8 years designing, shipping, and supporting production systems
  • Strong working experience in:
    • Dynamically typed languages like NodeJS and Python
    • Relational databases like Postgres
    • Key/Value datastores like Redis/Mongo
    • Front-end technologies like React
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work with and mentor more junior engineers

There’s no extra credit in solving the climate crisis, but we’ll award a few bonus points for candidates with particularly relevant experience.

This includes:

  • Experience in an early stage startup
  • Experience in building and running a marketplace or B2B marketplace platform
  • Passion for environmental sustainability and a strong commitment for addressing climate change
