Your mission
The task of the process developer / process engineer in the field of laser welding and laser cutting processes is to develop and continuously improve the procedures and production processes to ensure robust production. The job requires a high level of technological understanding and the desire to learn new processes and implement them in ongoing production. The targeted implementation activities are to be coordinated and introduced on schedule as part of the project in order to guarantee the goals of project achievement and product quality.

  • (Further) development, design, introduction and continuous optimization of laser welding and laser cutting processes in the field of lithium-ion battery production 
  • Adaptation and optimization of production process parameters in consideration of production and product requirements
  • Reporting of optimization and development statuses in different project and company structures
  • Development and communication of domain knowledge as well as participation in the identification of future trends and their feasibility in lithium-ion battery production
  • Cross-functional collaboration with various disciplines such as production, quality, development, customers, development partners and suppliers
Your profile
  • Completed technical studies (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) such as process engineering, mechanical engineering and engineering sciences or comparable qualification
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in the field of process development of laser welding and laser cutting processes. Ideally additional experience in the field of lithium-ion battery production and its requirements.
  • Good technological understanding of development possibilities and interpretation of results
  • Ability to deal with high, changing and different requirements
  • Strong communication skills, ability to deal with conflict, openness and interest in making a difference with the team
  • Willingness to occasionally travel nationally/internationally, especially in the first months
  • Proficient in written and spoken German and English
