POSITION SUMMARY:

Step into the dynamic role of a Manufacturing Engineer, where every day brings new challenges and rewards. You'll be at the heart of production, from pre-production planning to hands-on support on the build lines. Drive continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks, enhancing safety & quality, and streamlining processes. You'll test innovative methods, conduct process trials, and collaborate on design reviews to boost assembly efficiency. Get involved in exciting projects like new product introductions and production line setups, making a real impact on our manufacturing success. Join us and shape the future of manufacturing!

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Provide Design for Manufacturing feedback during New Product Development.
  • Ensure Pre-Production Readiness is completed in line with KPIs.
  • Design & improve the layout of build lines and workstations.
  • Serve as the technical expert for manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure the latest tooling, process equipment, patterns, jigs and gauges are available.
  • Use Lean methodologies to improve processes.
  • Provide hands-on manufacturing support with process faults.
  • Problem-solve complex issues using A3, 8D, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Trial new methods & tooling, reporting out recommendations.
  • Support Production Change Control (Spec Amends, MODs & ECNs).
  • Lead and support projects – from business case to project sign-off.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience in relevant discipline.
  • Mechanical or electrical manufacturing engineering skills (Ideally both).
  • Proven success within a similar role would be highly advantageous.
  • Continuous Improvement experience (Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent).
  • Experience with NPI, project management, and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in CAD packages such as Solid Edge, Teamcenter and AutoCAD LT would be beneficial.
  • Skilled in IT tools and change management.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and flexibility for offsite work.
