Software Development Manager

 

Position Summary

This position is responsible for leading a talented team of software engineers to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions. You will be responsible for managing the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and execution to deployment and maintenance. Your role will involve mentoring team members, driving technical excellence, coding, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve our strategic goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development.
  • Manage team workloads and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
  • Collaborate with engineering managers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and scope.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in .NET technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, and related frameworks. Java programming is a plus.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 7 years of experience in software development.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in related role.

Personal Protective Equipment 

PPE will be provided and is required to be used within certain areas of the manufacturing floor.

Work Environment

Includes both a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and a shop environment, with exposure to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, nuisance dust, and skin exposure to chemicals used to run/maintain machines.
