Position Summary

As a member of PVComplete’s (PVC) team, the Account Executive will be charged with originating, and growing the customer base for PVC’s suite of products. This includes leading direct customer engagement and inbound and outbound sales activities, as well as supporting marketing campaigns and broader go to market operational work. This position is based in Los Angeles, with flexible hybrid day-to-day working.

Primary Responsibilities

The Account Executive will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will be responsible for the following activities.

  • Perform inbound and outbound sales activations of new residential, commercial, and utility scale solar developers and solar engineers in the US and internationally for PVCs core SaaS products: PVSketch, PVSketch Mega, PVCAD, PVCAD Mega
  • Activate existing paying and freemium customers through email, phone, and other marketing strategies to perform upselling activities to expand the number of licenses and products.
  • Hone and present product pricing, negotiate contract value and contract terms, and secure executed monthly and annual SaaS contracts.
  • Provide customer feedback to help inform product direction and commercial strategy.
  • Perform demonstrations of PVC’s products, facilitate new customers’ technical diligence, and otherwise organize resources to complete new sales.
  • Participate in industry relevant forums, conferences, and events targeted to potential customers promoting PVC and its products.
  • Gain familiarity with competitor product offerings and pricing structures to advance and grow PVC’s value proposition and competitive advantages.
  • Log all customer interactions and communications in various company CRM software systems.
  • Contribute to sales collateral creation showing PVC product capabilities, comparative analysis to competitors, and other company information.
  • Support the creation of core commercial and sales processes, adhere and contribute to the creation of sales team quota and performance metrics, and help organize customer and sales pipeline data on new or existing CRM tools.
  • Manage sales development representatives and support hiring, onboarding, and training of new sales team members.

Candidate Qualifications

For consideration, candidates must pass all required tests or assessments and meet the basic qualifications listed below:

  • Experience in the solar development industry
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development
  • Ability to work interdisciplinary in the technology space, and understand the solar development market.
  • Proficiency in core Microsoft Office applications to present customer facing materials.
  • Self-starter and ability to work autonomously with a hard driving, tenacious inspired, positive, and determined attitude.
  • Track record of executing on a strategy and accountability toward goals
  • Constructive and team focused mindset, and eagerness to seek and receive feedback.
