Where in the world of OVO will I be working?
Working within OVO’s Trading function, this role sits within the Renewable Energy Trading team and reports into the Renewable Energy Trading Manager. This team of Originators and Analysts is responsible for the effective procurement of renewable energy for OVO’s customer base through both direct electricity offtake from renewable facilities and the procurement of green certificates.
This external facing role will be critical to delivering OVO’s green commitments. The role holder will take the lead on managing OVOs green certificate positions, including building partnerships with brokers and direct counterparties. They will manage certificate deals through the full trade lifecycle from origination to settlement and compliance, to ensure that OVO complies with its green commitments in the most cost effective manner.
OVO’s Trading function is a dynamic and fast paced environment that manages over £1 bn of wholesale energy requirements and £400m of green certificates each year.
