At the end of your internship, you will present your summer project to our staff.
Responsibilities
KYC Compliance & Counterparty Due Diligence: conduct comprehensive KYC checks and due diligence processes on counterparties to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: work closely with contract administration, credit, front office, back office, and technology teams on a daily basis to ensure seamless execution of compliance protocols and risk management procedures.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation: analyze and evaluate counterparty risks within the Gas and Power trading business. Follow existing process to minimize financial, operational, and reputational risks.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement: maintain, review, and enhance existing internal controls to ensure effective risk management. Continuously improve processes to ensure compliance with evolving regulatory standards and best practices.
Ongoing Stakeholder Engagement: reach out to internal and external stakeholders, including counterparties, and other business units, to ensure proper due diligence and the effective resolution of any issues or concerns.
Qualifications
Must be legally authorized to work in the USA for any employer without the need for sponsorship, currently or in the future.
Must have cumulative and major GPA of 3.3 or higher
Active student studying finance, technology, business, economics, mathematics or similar.
Familiar with business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau is plus
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to think on the fly in a fast-paced environment
Challenge the status quo and continuously drive improvement and innovation
Must be available for a continuous 12-week period for duration of summer internship; starting May 19th and ending on August 8th.
