The Role
We are looking for a hands-on individual with a security engineering mindset to join us as Cloud Security Engineer as part of the Security team at SPAN. You will be responsible for building out SPAN’s security program and architecting, developing and deploying security tools and technologies to protect SPAN's platform and backend infrastructure. You will get exposure and contribute to the broader systems and cloud infrastructure initiatives here at SPAN as well.
Responsibilities include:
Build robust Identity and Access Management posture
Ensure that our production platform in AWS has been hardened as per industry standards
Deploy and own Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) solution at SPAN
Own the vulnerability assessment and patch triage process to support ongoing vulnerability and patch management at SPAN and provide recommendations for identified vulnerabilities
Participate in the evaluation and selection of security tools and technologies
About you
8+ years in a security engineering or operations role
Experience with some of the authentication and authorization technologies such as OIDC, SAML, OAuth and AuthZ
Hands on experience with AWS Infrastructure Security
Kubernetes (AWS EKS) and container infrastructure
IAM and managing cloud identities at-scale
Secure development and application of IAC solutions (Terraform, Pulumi)
Cloud-native observability and management tools
Development experience in one of the languages: Python, Kotlin, Node or Rust
Understanding of web vulnerabilities is a plus
