We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Technician to join our dynamic Production team in Beamsville, ON. The Production Technician will be involved in assembling and manufacturing products designed for controlled environment systems including irrigation systems, climate control equipment, and other horticultural tools. The Production Technician will have hands-on experience in product assembly, plumbing, and mechanical work. Attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to follow technical drawings and work instructions are essential.

Responsibilities:

·       Assemble irrigation systems and other horticultural equipment according to detailed work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings.

·       Install, assemble, and connect plumbing components, including pipes, valves, and fittings, as part of the production process.

·       Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as drill presses, mills, and saws to modify and assemble components.

·       Inspect and test products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards; identify and correct defects as needed.

·       Securely package assembled products for shipment and ensure they are labeled and documented correctly.

·       Track materials and components used in production, assist with inventory checks, and report shortages or excess stock.

·       Work closely with production team members, supervisors, and engineers to optimize assembly processes and resolve any issues.

·       Follow all company safety protocols, maintain an organized workspace, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.

 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities required)

·       High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in manufacturing, engineering, plumbing, or horticulture preferred.

·       1-3 years of experience in assembly, manufacturing, or production roles, preferably in horticulture, agriculture, or irrigation systems.

·       Experience with plumbing systems, including PVC, copper, and flexible tubing, is highly preferred.

·       Familiarity with measuring tools, die grinders, disc grinders, and other hand and power tools.

·       Forklift, reach truck, and scissor lift experience (preferred but not required).

·       Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.

·       Proficiency in using basic hand and power tools for assembly and modification tasks.

·       Strong attention to detail and quality control standards.

·       Critical thinking, problem-solving, and resourcefulness.

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·       Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.

·       Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
