The Operational Excellence Summer Student will be responsible for optimizing our processes and workflows. The Student will play a key role in identifying areas for improvement, implementing solutions, and supplying to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Conducting process analyses to find opportunities for improvement.
Streamlining workflows, reduce waste, improve efficiency across departments using lean management methodologies.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to implement process improvements and standard methodologies.
Collect and analyze data to measure the efficiency of implemented changes and identify further optimization opportunities.
Support the documentation process by updating standard operating procedures and work instructions.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest innovative solutions to operational challenges.
Provide support for training initiatives related to new processes or system implementations.
Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations to communicate project progress and outcomes.
Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate efficiently with complementary teams.
Meticulous with a focus on accuracy and quality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerBI, Power Automate, PowerPoint, Word).
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal direction.
Prior experience or coursework in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++) is an asset.
