Via is using technology to transform transportation around the world. From changing a single person’s daily commute to reducing humanity’s collective environmental footprint — we’ve got huge goals.

As Via's local HR Field Operations Manager, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to shape this role from the ground up and make it your own! You’ll play a key role in supporting our employee drivers and dispatch team by overseeing HR processes such as onboarding/offboarding, training, policy implementation, employee support, and real-time issue resolution, all while fostering a positive workplace culture.

This is a hands-on role — we’re a one-team culture, and you’ll be rolling up your sleeves to support across the board, whether it's stepping in for a short-term project, offering guidance to an employee, or diving into new HR initiatives.

Collaborating closely with Via’s core HR team and the local Operations management team, you’ll act as a trusted partner, providing a safe space for feedback and ensuring strong relationships with our employees. With great judgment, attention to detail, and a focus on process, you’ll help shape an employee experience that aligns with Via’s mission.

**NOTE: this is a 5-day a week in-person role at our office in Fort Worth**

What You'll Do:

  • Support the employee experience by managing onboarding, offboarding, HR policies, and real-time issue resolution.
  • Be a trusted partner for our drivers and dispatch team, fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture.
  • Support key HR processes including payroll support, benefits administration, time-off tracking, leave administration, training, leadership development, and compliance.
  • Handle employee relations by providing guidance, addressing concerns, and leading investigations when needed.
  • Collaborate with local and NYC-based teams to implement HR best practices and support business needs.
  • Drive engagement initiatives through communication, feedback sessions, and recognition programs.
  • Oversee office logistics and local vendor relationships to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with the local field operations team to streamline key driver and operational processes, like shift bidding, to ensure fairness, transparency, and efficiency while keeping everything running smoothly.

Who You Are:

  • Based in the Fort Worth area and are able to work in person.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in HR operations, employee relations, or a similar role, supporting an hourly / shift-based workforce
  • You’re comfortable with ambiguity and flexible in adapting to changing needs, always looking for creative solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with a process-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word).
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills. Salary reflected does not include equity or variable pay, where applicable
  • Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 per year
  • We are proud to offer a generous and comprehensive benefits package, including free medical plans and 401K matching.
