We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Accounts Receivable Lead to join our team. If you have a knack for accounting, a passion for customer service, and a drive to contribute beyond traditional accounting tasks, this role is for you! In this position, you’ll work closely with our CFO and cross-functional teams, ensuring financial accuracy while helping streamline office operations.

What You’ll Do:

Key Accounting Responsibilities:

• Lead collection efforts, ensuring a balance between customer relationships and business needs
• Oversee daily accounting records using GAAP standards
• Support accounts payable processes and payment runs
• Reconcile G/L accounts and process journal entries
• Assist with job cost accounting and managing company assets
• Oversee subcontractor payment compliance
• Daily update CRM data with accuracy
• Support weekly payroll processing (training provided)

Office Management Duties:

• Be a backup for inbound calls on a multi-line phone system
• Handle mail and package management
• Assist in event planning, office organization, and employee recognition
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace / Office

What You Bring to the Table:

✔ 2+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience 

✔ A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience 

✔ Proficiency in the use of QuickBooks Online & Excel (Spreadsheets) 

✔ Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities 

✔ Self-starter with a drive to learn, develop, and jump into a task with courage 

✔ A results-driven mindset with a proactive, can-do attitude

✔ Ability to work on-site at our Petaluma office, daily

Bonus Points if You Have:

➕ Experience in Medium to High volume A/R collections

➕ Payroll processing knowledge

➕ Familiarity with Salesforce (CRM), Slack (Messenger)

➕ Strong technical skills and the ability to learn quickly
