Design Engineer

CelLink is transforming energy storage with cutting-edge solutions. We’re looking for a passionate engineer to innovate, impress customers, and help create new product categories in electrification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proficient in CAD best practices and design tools.
  • Proficient in DFMEA and the ability to perform and set up design calculations.
  • Perform engineering experiments and trials, plan and set up tests, including writing test specifications for internal and external teams.
  • Write engineering requirements for suppliers and internal teams.
  • Lead engineering programs and identify dependencies with cross-functional teams.
  • Understand GD&T, release drawings, and communicate part condition requirements at End of Line (Hi Pot Testing, Continuity Testing, Resistance Testing, Weld Integrity).
  • Present independently and prepare customer-facing documentation.
  • Seek out continuous education and learning opportunities independently.
  • Additional duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

To perform this job successfully, the individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • A minimum of 2 years of experience and knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical or electrical science or a related field.
  • Knowledge of customer application-specific requirements and industry standards for battery energy storage systems.
  • Able to plan and manage time and deadlines independently; create timing charts and map out program engineering timing.
  • Knowledge of electrical interconnects and solving customer pain points.
  • Ability to use CelLink technology in new applications and develop new processes.
  • Excellent professional communication and personal presentation.

 

Base Salary: $80k+  with final salary determined by experience and level. We’re hiring for multiple positions and will align compensation accordingly.

Physical Demands – Office and Manufacturing Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, pull/push, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment – 

Includes both a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and a shop environment, with exposure to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, nuisance dust, and skin exposure to chemicals used to run/maintain machines.

PPE-

May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, gloves, hair nets, masks, & clean-room frocks while adhering to the prescribed safety procedures.
