Our mission is to take the real estate industry into the climate action era.

We are proud to be the fastest growing startup in our category, with world-class partners and investors including Y Combinator, Google, the U.S. Department of Energy, Stanford University, and Fifth Wall. We are seeking team members who are passionate about building transformative products, enthusiastic about problem-solving, and excited to work at the forefront of climate and real estate technology. Join us on our mission to achieve net zero by 2050.

The Role

You will manage recruitment processes, work closely with external agencies when necessary, and drive initiatives that foster a positive company culture and employee development. This is a strategic role that requires a blend of recruiting and people ops leadership and expertise.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Recruitment Execution: Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing, across our teams.

  • External Agency Coordination: Coordinate with external recruitment agencies to find candidates for our team when necessary for specific searches.

  • People Operations: Collaborate with leadership to implement policies and practices that enhance employee engagement, performance, and retention.

  • Talent Development: Design and implement programs that foster career development, leadership growth, and continuous learning across the organization.

  • Team Operations Insights: Use recruitment and HR metrics to optimize team operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in recruitment and/or people operations. Experience working in and scaling high-growth startup organizations is highly preferred.

  • Track Record of Talent Acquisition: Proven ability to develop and implement effective talent acquisition and people strategies.

  • People Ops Background: Experience driving and scaling People Ops across organizations, e.g. talent development, employee engagement, performance, and HR processes.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • People-Centric: A genuine passion for fostering a positive work environment, in line with the core Cambio value of “A teammate never lets another teammate fail.”

Logistics

  • Work Authorization: Authorization to work in the United States or Canada is required.

  • Location: This is a hybrid role, and we primarily hire from our hubs in New York, Toronto, and San Francisco. Proximity to one of these cities is strongly preferred.

What Do We Offer

  • We are a lean, growing, and high-performing team that works hard and is passionate about the climate problems we’re working on:

  • Fast-growing startup experience: You will be responsible for foundational work that will have a significant impact on decarbonizing the commercial real estate industry.

  • Competitive salary and equity compensation.

  • Work with the best: Our team members come from top organizations in their sectors, including OMERS, Goldman Sachs, Faire, One Medical, Google, and Bain.
