Position Summary:
We are seeking a Sales Associates to work within the global sales team to drive lead generation for CBL Markets, the voluntary carbon market’s largest spot exchange for carbon and renewable energy credit (REC) markets. In addition to millions of RECs traded annually, CBL Markets accounts for more than 90% of global, exchange-traded spot volume of voluntary carbon. 
 
The role will support the Sales team with key customer account coverage and tracking of sales team metrics. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of state, national, and international efforts to catalyze the energy transition. 
 


Responsibilities

  • Generate leads and foster interest in our Xpansiv Connect portfolio management service. Although many of the leading REC participants are active on Xpansiv Connect, there is still huge potential to grow the user base significantly.  
  • Analyze existing North American renewables and sustainable fuels landscape to identify potential targets. Develop consistent outreach/sales strategies to secure intro meetings with key firms.  
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the environmental markets landscape across North America  
  • Work with commercial and product teams to leverage customer feedback to enhance the Xpansiv Connect platform  
  • Manage sales campaign planning, execution, and tracking in Salesforce 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with one to three years of experience working in environmental/commodity markets 
  • The position requires a passion for renewable energy and associated environmental market-based mechanisms.   
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets 
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and developing strong client relationships 
  • Experience conducting outbound calls, emails, and meetings to generate leads and convert prospects into clients 
  • Strong technical and analytical skills 
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mind set  
  • Ability to learn in a dynamic work environment and work to achieve goals 
  • Effective communicator with an aptitude for building relationships 
  • Proficiency across Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with desire to expand expertise across new applications, as needed 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Salesforce

Base Salary
Compensation for this role will vary among specific regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market, actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, knowledge, education and training. However, compensation in New York is expected to be as follows:
$70,000 -$80,000
