Description

The Company has manufacturing facilities in Tennessee & Alabama, with sales personnel in Spain and Australia servicing Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia-Pacific.

 

Shoals sells their solar products principally to engineering, procurement, and construction firms that build solar energy projects. The custom nature of their system solutions and the engineered-to-order development cycle for solar projects typically gives Shoals a 12+ month lead time to quote, engineer, produce, and ship each order, so there is no need to stock large amounts of finished goods.

 

Summary:

 

The Sr. BI Data Analyst – Operations will be responsible for collaborating with cross functional business partners to understand, organize, and process data to generate reporting and process tools that will enable a faster, more accurate, repeatable decision-making process.  This includes improving the data and technology around workflows for better accountability and clear process. This role involves working closely with various departments to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights to improve operational efficiency and business performance.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Create process tools and dashboards to help collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools to present data in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and supply chain, to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
  • Data Management: Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency by implementing data governance practices and performing regular data audits.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend data-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to management on business performance.
  • Training: Train and support team members in using BI tools and interpreting data insights.

 

 

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 15 years of overall experience in supporting business operations
  • Technical Skills: years of experience Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), SQL, and data visualization techniques. Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python) is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
