Please join us on the infrastructure team, which deals with the nuts and bolts of supporting an energy experts-driven transformation of a diverse network of distributed energy resources into a smart grid that is reliable, resilient, and responsive.We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Voltus engineering infrastructure team. You will partner with other engineering and product teams, encouraging an inclusive and cohesive team environment while building an infrastructure platform that enables engineers to create, deliver and operate high-quality, reliable systems.We’re looking for someone to bring excellent leadership to a small, tight-knit team. The infrastructure team develops and manages a microservices stack, hundreds of IoT devices installed on-site and a diverse collection of infrastructure that supports our connections to various utilities and energy markets.

In this role, you can expect to
- Develop team vision and values to build infrastructure to support the future growth of Voltus.
- Hire and grow a diverse team.
- Lead by example, care for the team, develop a supportive culture and promote work/life balance.
- Lead and represent the team building out Voltus Engineering’s core infrastructure.
- Use your expertise in software engineering to ensure high-quality software is delivered incrementally.
- Cultivate a culture of metrics-driven reliability and quality with transparent and efficient processes
- Partner with Data, Applications and Integrations teams to better understand their infrastructure needs.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to team members.
- Help/Guide individuals in setting clear goals and provide regular feedback on performance to foster career growth.
- Lead and conduct blameless post mortems.
You will be a good fit if
- Have experience leading infrastructure teams remotely.
- Genuinely interested in an engineering manager track with technical ability.
- Genuinely interested in growing individuals beyond what they thought was possible in a sustainable manner.
