Senior Data Analyst - OVO Home Services - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

You will be working in a fast paced environment as a Senior Data Analyst within our Data team at OVO Home Services.  We are a team who are determined to get the basics right when it comes to data and plan to make a difference by delivering a service capable of providing accurate reporting and insight across our organisation..

 

What will I be doing?

Data is the foundation of everything we do at OVO, and to deliver our vision we need curious, tenacious people who can turn this data, and their knowledge, into strategy and actions. You will be working with key stakeholders to understand, summarise and visualise complex problems into easy to understand solutions, using data to inform and influence business decisions.

This year we are working on a key data warehousing and systems project as we bring together two major business areas within Home Services. We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst with a detailed knowledge of data warehousing and data management to join us on a 12 month contract to deliver this project.

In addition, as a Senior Analyst in the team,  you will actively contribute to the learning and development of other analysts in the team.

 

You will be responsible for; 

  • Document business requirements from multiple stakeholder groups, propose solutions and co-ordinate prioritisation activities

 

  • Develop and implement user friendly reports which support performance analysis & decision making

 

  • Devise processes and systems which enable self serve data access for stakeholders across the business 

 

  • Support upskilling existing Data Analysts on new technology and processes

 

  • Promote ethical standard methodologies in the way all data is used and processed, always ensuring compliance and security is placed first

Ideally you will have:

  • Experienced in working with technical products that have multiple stakeholders
  • A creative thinker who thrives off direct responsibility and delivering value
  • Solution oriented driving value creation through simplification
  • Practical experienced in writing queries in BigQuery and SQL Server 
  • You are able to demonstrate the ability to provide clarity in a complex and changing environment
  • Consistently demonstrates a strategic understanding of the area and wider business 
  • Experienced with data warehousing within a cloud environment 
  • The ability to see the bigger picture and understand how a wide range of analytical outputs link together
  • Adaptable to change with experience working in a fast-paced, ambitious, customer focused environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with both outstanding verbal and written communications
